Just came across this video while searching for french marigold care. Thanks for the tips. And i have a Q wondering if you can reply on this old vid. I had grown mine in the ground for abt a mth now. It had grow bushy from view top and I had not bent down to checo for about wks. Only this morning i realised part of the stem was across the ground with ariel roots along. It had been raining some days previously and I had not visit it for sometime as watering not required past few days I noticed alot of youtuber plants are upright. Do you happen to know why it bend over across the soil and roots grow from it? The aerial roots are still quite short at the moment.

its something new i heard about aerial roots on marigold but its not bad ..aerials roots will appear on a plant when there is too much moisture in the air ...the plant is trying to stabilize ..etc ....yes some marigolds would need support it all depends from variety to variety...some grow short and bushy some will get taller i use sticks as support.... otherwise it will bend over ..you can give it a stick to support if you leave it laying on ground them those aerial roots will reach out in ground and will grow into new plant provided there us constant moisture..my french marigold needs support ..also most varieties of marigolds are annuals

French Marigold is my personal favourite and I have many childhood memories with it. You know the leaves are useful for allergies as well.

hello can french marigold be planted in a big plastic pot ? someone advised so.. howevr u hve mentioned in d video pot shuld be approx 5 inch size

don't use a very large pot max 7 inch is ok that's only if the plant is large ..large pot means more soil more soil means the soil will stay too much moist ...if there is excess moister the plant can have rot root ..also what i have experienced in smaller pots marigolds develop a lot of blooms these are my hybrid marigold they are all potted in 5 inch pot kzbin.info/www/bejne/gqPUqGWYmbmmhJo

Hello Frank.. Marigold is one of my flowers obsession BUT after a while it gives beauty in my garden 🪴 they died gradually, not knowing they are ANNUAL.. ( hu! hu ! ) Needs to learn al lot from my GURU

oh god tell me about m so fed up too but please don’t give up you won’t believe my begonia calatheas variegated colocasia and my grow bags all being destroyed by rats m just so fed up tried everything garlic vinegar spray napteline balls camphor even onion peels no remedy I don’t wanna kill them but just want them to be away seems impossible m so worried and always so tensed my expensive plants are moved them in door
