Dave , great unique recipe , yes on us & the girls & we like French onion soup so this has to be delicious. I was going to say add worstcheshire sauce & bay leaves , but you did & good call. Sometimes I add baby portobello mushrooms to my French onion soup & might work in this dish also with the meatballs. Keep your stick on the ice pal. btw, a french bread loaf sliced & buttered on the side for us.
