Oh yes Paula and Jason, the venison is a must! Happy harvesting and thank you. Glasses are in a few cases. Going to take me some time getting accustomed to hiding them from the pugs. Sciatica sucks, but working through it. I need to buy an anti-fatigue mat (I just don't know if I can get one shipped since we have a postal strike happening). I love deer meat, i was never able to hunt my own i just couldn't pull the trigger. I'm one of those, i think if i were starving i could do it im really not sure. Anyway, this soup looks amazing, and I'm sure it's delicious. Happy Thanksgiving, and may God bless y'all 💙💙

I didn't grow up as a hunter Tara. It took me years of overcoming certain things. My mother had a crazy fear instilled in me. The training certainly helped. I'm very thankful for my first harvest of deer. You'd most likely be ready when you need to. Perhaps before that. Happy Thanksgiving to you as well, and blessings returned.

@northerngirlhobbies at least there's some hope for me, I want to get there one day and to understand all the aspects behind hunting. There are certain things I would like to learn to do in case I ever have to, and hunting is one of those things. Ty so much for sharing, and giving me some hope.

@taraedwards1892 there’s hope Tara. Even if you can’t get out to some sort of a range, practice at home. Watch a bunch of videos that will get you conditioned to all the sights, sounds, feels, etc. All of that definitely helps. I also give tobacco and/or smudge whatever gets harvested. I think it’s the right thing to do, in order to give thanks…

@northerngirlhobbies I think so too, it's bittersweet I would imagine, but at least it's the fastest way without much pain in an ideal shot. I'm the type that doesn't want anything to feel pain or torture, I could go on about that kind of stuff but I'm sure you already understand that too. Beautiful people are truly rare, I don't know you but I feel that you are a beautiful person.

@ aww thank you, I do try. It is a bitter-sweet thing. Even as a child I didn’t eat game foods besides fish. My mom was even grossed out by our fresh chicken eggs haha. I was held back. My aunt (mom’s sister) was a hunter but, she passed away at 30. My mom passed 2 years ago. Take it easy on yourself. You’ll know when it’s time for things, that’s my belief. 💚

It's the lesser of two evils, to be honest. I didn't realize the face paint sticks had two sides, and when you've been working your butt off to get ready for hunt camp, and this accidentally happens after days of being in the rain, humor can be a blessing. Sorry you are offended and not familiar with everything we do on the channel. Be sure to try the soup recipe, though. You won't be disappointed.
