French parliament suspended after MP waves Palestinian flag

The head of France’s national assembly suspended the lower house after Sébastien Delogu, a deputy of the hard-left La France Insoumise (LFI) party, waved a Palestinian flag to draw attention to the Israeli bombardment of Gaza while a junior trade minister was answering a question about the situation in Gaza.

It’s not hypocrisy, it’s maintaining order. You have to remember that these places have rules to prevent distractions like him waving the flag, which was supposed to get people riled up. Delogu could have chosen to wear a button or ribbon that communicates his views, and isn’t distracting from a speech. The same would be said of someone waved an Israeli flag during a speech.
