The first is Meena Kumari, and that scene is from her last movie Pakeezah. Actually, she was very sick when she shoot for this movie. There's another dance number in the movie (Chalte Chalte) where she only sit, because she's already too weak. She died soon after completing the movie. She had a very tragic life. Always its Mathuri for me. That was one among my favorite song as well. No matter how many times watched, never fail to be mesmerized. Beautiful performance. Aish is pretty good thou and love her performances too especially in Endran she rocked it in the song Irumbile Oru Idhayam. Check her moves there. She's simply awesome. Please watch Gopi Krishna in Jhanak Jhanak Payal Baje. As i've learned he was phenomenon in earlier years, likely in the 50s. But couldn't find much of his on you tube maybe those days it where more in theatherical performances. You yourself make an awesome dancer. I took this ranking too personally was dancing the harlem shake and all as you picked the winner! For me it would be Madhuri and Aishwarya very very close (like on the same step of the podium but after) because she ate that performance and didn't left ANY crumb!! It's unhealthy the number of time I watched her in Umrao Jaan! Aaaah this video was so good! Absolutely loved it❤❤ I personally would not compare the rest with Meena Kumari and Rekha because they belonged to a different time and technology developed a lot later which enabled the capture of nuances and subtleties of expressions in case of later dancers. We can compare Maadhubala, Meena Kumari, Baijayantimala, Waheeda Rahman, Rekha, Hema Malini, etc. And then the next generation dancers like Madhuri, Aish, Sridevi, Rani, etc. Anyways, loved it. Rekha ji is still known for her movie Umrao Jaan. The way she carries herself, her grace, her expressions, that alone makes her the best kathak performer, that's how a courtesan kathak should be like!! I think her and Meena Kumari's dancing style was more closer to traditional Kathak than Madhuri and Aishwarya. I like Rekha ji from olden era and Madhuri Dixit from present era. Madhuri is my favourite actress 😊 Vaijainti mala ji is the best classical dancer of all times. You should react to her dance performances. And please react to Madhubala's "pyar kiya toh darna kya" and "mohe panghat pe nand lal" from Mughal e Azam. You should have included that in this video.
