That's exactly the point, the man who heard Marie say "let them eat cake" to the aristocrats in the movie just spread rumors. You can hear another woman say she saw it with her own eyes when she wasn't even there. In actual history the peasants just created a rumor to rile up the crowd, which sparked the storming on Versailles.

The reason why other European great powers, like Britain, Prussia, Austria and Russia had no revolution was because they reformed their states and improved the standard of living for the lower classes. France did no such thing and paid the price.

No, you really didn't. I don't mean to come off as rude, but this scene alone... as someone who has done a lot of deep research on the French Revolution and especially Maximilien Robespierre, this scene nearly made me cry because of how inaccurate it is and how deeply it mischaracterizes Robespierre and Marie-Antoinette and should I even mention that this is set to take place in 1789 and the Terror didn't even begin until 1793.
