It’s actually not that hard. Most of his weight is on the bars (colloquially known as “bar raping”) and he only steps enough to set off the sensors. Pump it up machines are probably the most common step rhythm game left in most arcades tbh. All the old hordes of DDR Extreme cabinets have withered away or gone into private collections, Konami only licenses the newer DDR cabinets, and StepmaniaX is just barely starting to come out in barcades. Pump has just been the most consistently supplied over the years, never too much never too little if you actually bother to look in arcades.
