This is fascinating. I think it's cool that two different cuisines in two different countries came to a similar result: The French Taco, and the California Burrito (ca. 1980). I think it shows the versatility of the flour tortilla as a wrap for a lot of different combinations of food. It's awesome!

It's not that they're upset at the creativity...they're annoyed by them mis-labelling things. If they called this a French Cali Burrito it would make perfect sense.

I live in France, and this might be the most popular junk food among certain French youth, those things are calorie bombs, so yes they are cheap and they fill you up, and in most cases you won't be able to finish just one, so yes you are getting a bang for your buck, but you are almost guaranteed to end up in the hospital with a severe pancreatic crisis (happened to me and I spent 14h in the hospital) because your body just can't take that much saturated fat in a single sandwich, I mean you can bash the Americans how much you want on how fat and greasy some of their foods are, but the greasiest quadruple bypass burger from the Heart Attack Grill is like having a healthy organic salad compared to a French Taco, don't take the risk guys.

Seeing the french fries piled on and the cream sauce ladled on top resembles what French Canadians call Poutine, french fries, curd and brown gravy, but I must agree I'd definitely try the French Taco.😋👍🌯
