The school can just say, well we are not going to give you half a million dollars because we don't have it, the end. They cannot get teachers to replace them now. Correction: He was suspended from his teaching job for refusing to go along with this nonsense. The courts ordered him to not go near the school while the school was dealing with his case. He ignored this and was held in contempt of court and that is why he was jailed and not because he refused to use the pronouns.

He should have stayed away from the school while his case was being dealt with. He’s now made himself the defendant. He could have been the plaintiff is he had taken action against the school on the grounds of religious freedom, the labour laws or on discrimination grounds. The possibilities are endless. Instead, against all legal advice, he lost his head and the chance to enshrine into law that a teacher could refuse to use these pronouns, has now been lost for the time being. Every teacher now believes, rightly or wrongly, they’ll end up like Mr. Burke. I don’t know if you’re Irish or not but, unfortunately, he’s now regarded as a joke here.

@@teomac nope, i'm not, you can get law and no justice, he has every right to ignore the law when it's corrupt, and the court order is not sound, so he's in contempt of court because he has nothing but contempt for the court, and quite rightly too. He was never going to get justice the whole 'game' was rigged from the start by woke arseholes, he did nothing rash, every move he's made is slow and deliberate for a reason. The court order was based on false information in a normal country and court that would have been appealed and set aside, the judge in the appeal refused to budge or listen to the arguments from Mr Burke, the documents were changed that the ex parte injunction was based on, that's not justice, not by a long shot. So contempt of court is all he feels, and he's sure not the only one.
