Hello! I'm a native Sinhala speaker who's currently learning Finnish, Latin, Spanish, and Arabic. I'm just a beginner to all those languages, but I've got no one to practice with except Arabic since I'm friends with a few native Arabic speakers. Do you know of any particular group or something to do to meet other native speakers? I can help with the Sinhala language if someone wants to learn it.

You comparison of French and English is nice. However, I want to point out that in Latin America we use "usted "when we do not a person. If you use "tú" in Latin America with someone you do not know or is older than you it is considered a total lack of respect and even offensive. So we do NOT go straight to "tú" as you say in minute 4:35 of this video., sorry. That was the only wrong thing that I found in this video . In Colombia they use "usted" even among friends. As to the false cognates: English Française Español big large grande dirty salir sucio go out sortir salir number nombre número first name prenóm nombre Yes, you have to be careful with these false cognates. Buen trabajo chica...sigue así. Ä la prochaine!
