Pick the white yarrow blooms to dry. You can make wonderful salves after mixing with calendula and chamomile flowerss. I would have trimmed off the blooms after planting to lessen the stress on the plants in your pots. Your home is beautiful.

Your hexagonal tiles turned out great. I have 250 to put down. I will have them coated with linseed oil to darken them before sealing them. I hope they will be as lovely as yours.

Your food looked so wonderful with your husband and parents. I LOVE your beautiful cupboard you have made out of the old windows - it is beautiful, and just my cup of tea (as we say in England when things are just to our liking) you have both done a great job on them. Your crockery looks so lovely in them too. If you get some plate display stands, you could put the top beautiful plates from each pile up on display - just a thought? So good you saved the plants before your friend the farmer chopped them all down. xxx

Marloes, we put some beading along the back of our shelves, so that bigger or other plates can stand up at the back. It adds more colour and interest. Just an idea, not as though you need any new ideas! 🤗

Yarrow/Achillea/Millefeuille/Duizendblad can be gorgeous in borders mixed in with other flowering plants! I have a Terra cotta version of it and I love it :)

the doors are worth all the pain! and vintage wooden baskets would look amazing on top of those cabinets. Yarrow doesn't like good/rich soil, they love poor soil and once established they are drought tolerant.

Hi love the kitchen it will be beautiful, but there is one thing so Dutch to wash the dishes with soap and not rinsing it afterwards with only water to take of the soap. I’m Dutch to ,living for most of my live outside of Europe. Just funny to see this . Love for your family I’m also following Olaf❤

Beautiful❤ I think what you have accomplished in the kitchen is wonderful. I do love the walnut stain on the pine shelves in the cupboard...it's so warm...and the doors, although laborious will give you so much pleasure every time you look at them or open them...such joy! The floor looks so good from the glimpses I catch of them. I hope you are happy with them?! Love the yarrow and I think I saw wild poppies as well? I just came home with some I picked from the edge of fields near me in the Cowichan valley. Have never seen pink!😊

As always, love spending time with you. The yarrow in my world first was purple, then lavendar, now while. This is what happens when it ages. Just like people I guess, full of color in the beginning then fades as we get older. We also have yellow yarrow but the purple is my favorite.

Beautiful kitchen and garden. Just a gentle suggestion. When transplanting plants, it is best to cut off the flowers so the energy goes to establish new roots. Best of luck to your transplants.

In my state , in the US, we do have a lot of wild flowers, BUT we also have a lot of snakes!

We have two types of snakes and only one is potentially dangerous. It lives in tall grass near water which is why I never walk in the farmfields with sandals and preferably when I really have to go in I wear boots

I have imitated you with the wild flowers. I have planted some and so have the birds (seeds). I now also go to the hedgerows to pick some for the vases. I have bought similar tableware at various places, and I think yours displayed in the cabinet looks lovely. Watching you is very inspiring. One thing if you read this, did you make holes at the bottom of your lessiveuse , where you planted the wild flowers?

Hi! The recipes aren’t from my cookbook but from the book I’ve shown in the video! The quiche was really simple with peas and sweet peas and a little nutmeg in the egg/cream mixture. Simple but delicious!

I understand. They are quite easy to distinguish though. We have a lot of both growing around our property. When in doubt use an app to identify the plant.
