I have lived in Australia all of my life 45+ years. I don't know anyone who hunts. You can't just get a gun either, famers can have them but they have to a licence & prove to have a genuine reason. You can not own one for self defense or have one in your home unless, as mentioned, you have a proven reason for needing it. I have seen 4-6 big spiders in my life, & one snake in the wild. Most people live around the coast. You have to go out of your way to come across a dangerous animal. I have never seen a horse in the wild though in my younger years, I did have horses. I also go camping a lot & we see kangaroos, koalas & wombats some of the time. We don't have bears roaming around. So, she is a troll. Doub't she hunts, its just not a big thing here. The most dangerous place to go in Austraila is, like most places, the road where fools can drive. Far North QLD, Darwin can have some dangerous animals but you have to go searching for them. The day I bump into a Great White Shark in a restaurant, i will move. Edited to say : I believe like guns, pitts are banned in auatralia.
