the only reason i actually watched this entire video is because you got straight to the point, no unnecessarily long intro, this is something many youtubers should be doing

it was extremely relieving and awesome that the video opened with "number 1", like, you can't get more straight to the point than that

I think the "mistake" I've done the most is definitely the last one. I love osu! so my goal in this game is to be able to play well the absolute banger maps I discover sometimes. As of today, I'm a low 6 digit, and the maps I like can go from a comfy 5* (inabakumori - Hello Marina (Segula) [eM&You]) to an impossible 8*+ map with death streams (Release Hallucination - Chronostasis (Seni) [A Brilliant Petal Frozen in an Everlasting Moment]). I think what made me realize that I should maybe start playing 5* maps a bit more is participating in the 6ec tournament. I simultaneously discovered that I was closer to a low 6 digit than to a 5 digit (I play on lazer and it didn't give pp yet), and that I was particularly good at streams, flow aim and stamina for my level. So I'm kinda glad I did that. xD

Used to focus on 3modding (Normal) maps for pp boost and gain. Recently started pushing myself to try to fc (Insane) maps with out mods. After about a month of painstakingly feeling no progress , I went back to 3mod for a DAY…. And just smashed it. So the goal for the month of May is going to be unlocking the 5* FC medal 😁

The biggest mistake I've made is forgetting to prioritise enjoying the game instead of worrying about whether what I'm doing is optimal for improvement. Ironically, this has been the thing which has hindered my improvement the most.

I think the premature quit point brings up an interesting point about the scoring/pp system. -of course if someone is farming for an SS, then sure they will quit after they miss -but the fact that a single miss can practically HALF the pp of a score, that’s a very strong for people to retry (I am not a fan of this system)
@thecrazypudding15 ай бұрын
Your stream practice part has a few things in it that I feel that are wrong from a lot of experience playing them First of all Long stream practice while not improving aim, helps the player to gain a better technqiue and comfortability towards set bpm or speed. and second of all if the player can tap 190 bpm comfortabilty and without strain because of long stream practice aiming streams will become 2x easier then before since if you only think about aiming the stream and not aim and tapping it, it will become a lot easier. And while it can be used as a benchmark I personally feel that long stream practice should be used to raise your relaxed tapping.

How about splitting 4 hours of playing between 2 sessions? Is that also can lead to rsi( with the same probability)?
@no_aveil5 ай бұрын
Having a comfortable setup and making sure you're not straining your hands too much when playing (i.e: have a loose pen grip and tapping style) are more important in reducing the risk of rsi than just time played per session, though definitely take breaks if you're going to play for hours.

2:27 yeah, these are needed to practice tapping long streams until you can do it automatically, so you can focus fully on reading and aiming. also may be useful for some people that have a bad habit of overtensing their hand in order to achieve better accuracy/ur, some of them i know can play 230bpm retina but can't pass a 170bpm long stream practice map, so these maps can be useful and help remove that habit

#3 is honestly so true for me, that's the worst habit of mine when it comes to playing the game, and worse it often just tilts me when I don't meet my expectations to FC, to the point where I can no longer FC very easy maps for my skill level that session.

I don't play standard but for ALL my life I've played taiko no tatsujin games and restarted whenever I missed a note which carried over to osu; I'll definitely try to just enjoy the music after missing there's no worse feeling than getting insane accuracy and 1 miss, then eventually getting a full combo with worse accuracy and I have no idea why, but I'm terrified of submitting scores with 96% accuracy or below so I quit out at the end

The problem I have with the jumping star ranges is that I did technically jump through 5* maps, straight into 6* maps, but I was also able to fc a bunch of them. This means that I can do them, but does it also mean that I should go back and fc way easier 5* maps so that I don't have issues in the future?
