As someone who is currently in Uni to become a teacher, I can only applaud to this one allowing and supporting students to show their strengths in class even if it's not related to the class material. I think that can really help students to feel more comfortable in school while also gaining a ton more self-esteem, which I see is a big issue for many.

I think this video and osu as a whole serves to show an important aspect that is often lost on non-gamers. It's a direct visualization of the inputs your making at full speed, and it just feels natural to us, muscle memory. For instance, I'm a big FPS player, and having good movement WHILE in a gunfight is tough, i've made some plays before and then broken them down in my head after like "how did I even do that?" Plenty of games require precise inputs at incredible speed, but not many make it so obvious that that's what you're doing.

@@KeannuArroyo That's the gamer term for it. The psychological term is "flow state." I'm stealing from Wiki real quick: In positive psychology, a flow state, also known colloquially as being in the zone, is the mental state in which a person performing some activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity. In essence, flow is characterized by the complete absorption in what one does, and a resulting transformation in one's sense of time. The energized focus and full involvement are what lead to the god mode plays; however, the transformation of one's sense of time breaks down the incoming information significantly faster than usual. Take the audience in this clip, for example. They have no idea what they're looking at (mainly because they have no idea what osu is), but if you showed them an AR4-6 play, they would understand it because they can see it and understand it visually. If you moved from AR4-6 to AR8-9, they would have a better understanding of what they're looking at... Then you slip in something like Airman (AR10) to make them forget what they learned entirely because the patterns would overload their "ability to reading incoming information" and leave them lost. As an osu player, we started with stuff that we could read. We pushed the limits of that with flow state. Then we keep going and never look back.
