@@evangelcassidy3988 F OFF. If you loved Rebecca you wouldn’t disrespect her in the comments commenting “He’s”. If you knew one thing about Rebecca, you would know half of the reason she is so addicted is because SHE was never respected for who SHE is, you are only PERPETUATING the issue. Break out of your societal brain washing, gender is a construct, SEX is your genitalia that weak minded people can only see as being the same as your gender. Most trans people understand science and that they will always have XY chromosomes, that is something we can’t change. But chromosomes don’t dictate the way we EXPRESS ourselves. It’s bigots like you who want to control the way people express themselves, truly reflect within yourself and ask yourself why YOU want to control the way SHE expresses herself. Women’s clothes don’t have DNA, you can express yourself in a feminine way or call yourself a woman if you so choose. We can debate all we want about trans women in sports and the bathrooms that trans people use, but don’t you EVER disrespect someone for the way they feel or choose to express themselves. You should be ASHAMED of yourself. When’s the last time you’ve ever talked one on one with a trans person and tried using genuine compassion to understand them? Probably NEVER. People like you are VOID of empathy and I feel genuinely sad for you.

Hi Mark. The single biggest comment from Rebecca was asking for a small task to complete. I have dealt with worthwhile humans who are hijacked by their mental health/addictions. When I ask them if they can take one hour in the morning without banging drugs into their arms their response is “ of course Kim! I can do that every day for a week”. I ask them to try for one day …they achieve it!! The road to recovery starts with Rebecca asking for the smallest of goals to achieve. She is asking. Then her supports build on that. She needs to feel like she can accomplish something/anything. She has grandiose thinking and that is ok. It keeps her going. However, the smallest of steps are significant building blocks. One day at a time! Best to both of you “.
@kimdoughty29203 ай бұрын
One more thing. I think that some of Rebecca’s lucidity comes from eating and sleeping while hospitalized. Both essential elements for her life to continue.

Yes this is what she meant by going to the store to buy milk. I feel she does want to get clean and do better but she's so scared. When you've done drugs most your life it is so scary to even think about living your life without them. I know bcuz I struggled with addiction for most my life. I just thought it was the normal thing to do, like everyone did drugs at some point. Which is no way to live at all! To find recovery it takes time. We didn't get this bad overnight so we aren't going to get better in one day of not using. It takes time to build your life back or start brand new. Baby steps.

Rebecca mentioned more than once how she was finally put in rehab with girls, and it seemed to make the experience so much more positive for her and made her willing to continue to get help. That one thing…..putting her somewhere she feels she belongs (ie. with females) made her feel so much better about herself and how others view her (as a female, not a male). Maybe that’s something to keep considering when trying to get her into rehab. Place her in an all female facility.

She's actually from a wealthy family from Egypt, I thought his mom was French (even tho she says she learned French from watching movies), and that is why she can speak fluent English and French and Arabic, and they could afford boarding school in England. That's why she knows that Cinderella is actually from an old Egyptian story. She would be brought back and forth between Egypt and the U.S., and his dad finally just left Rebecca in the U.S. (or Rebecca wanted to stay here)...sounds cruel but Egypt is much more religious & conservative than the U.S. and he knew Rebecca was a drug addict and gay...probably thought Rebecca would have the best chance of surviving with people like her and the liberal accepting culture in the U.S. People always comment that she knows so much and is so well travelled and read...that's why!

I feel like it sends mixed signals to Rebecca when you tell her to get sober but then compliment that you love “this Rebecca” after she’s confirmed she’s high. I get the feeling that Rebecca feels like she’s her best self when she has a positive high. It’s like that the weeknd song, “when I’m fucked up, that’s the real me”. I get the feeling that Rebecca feels like she can relax and be her most charismatic when she has something to take the edge off. A lot of addicts fear becoming sober because they’re afraid they’ll lose their “fun side” or “spark of creativity”. I just worry that the positive reinforcement for her high self is keeping Rebecca from recognizing the worst parts of the other coin of her high self.

I think the relationship you two have is beautiful and she NEEDS it, especially since she doesn’t want formal therapy. She has literally told you, “you are the best thing that’s ever happened to me.” Rebecca, you are a survivor, not in the way that makes you a victim, but as a warrior to live life as you want without letting others snuff out who you feel you are. The more i watch Rebecca, the more she grows on me. I have made comments on other videos where i stated she wasn't my cup of tea. BUT, I see something here. She is really intelligent and relatable. I love how she loves making cinematic quotes. I see how Mark is so attached to her. This person actually has potential and it shines through in videos like this. She is so young and if Mark could get her sober the impact she could make.

You are doing good work Mark. I have a son who is sober now, but it’s been 10 years off and on. Tried all the stuff you’re doing. He had to want to be clean and it’s a daily process for him. He got locked up more than once but it allowed him to get ‘clean’ and have glimpses of sobriety. Rebecca can do it when she is ready.

I’m sorry but I don’t feel like this is the right time to be leaning into this delusional, manic persona of hers. the way she’s holding her mirror in front of her face is straight up deranged and y’all wanna go “yaaas mama the REALNESS”….its just disturbing. This is a disturbed individual who thinks a sex change is their only problem, and that drug use isn’t one of them. The only response to Rebecca should be pity and skepticism that she’s ever going to change. For fucks sake, she’s homeless and addicted to meth, being offered all the tools to get herself out of these situations-YET, she’s more focused on going to the iheartradio festival to see dua lipa.

I know this is a long road for Rebecca, but my god I am crying at the progress she's made over the last 6 months. I've not been out as far as she but pretty damn close and know that recovery is an up-and-down process that don't track a straight line. Rebecca actually makes me miss the street because I literally have never met a person in the straight world that could jaw like the people I partied with or would have my back in the stupid day-to-day conflicts like they did out of doors. I don't want to go back but on a visceral level I want to take Rebecca with me.

Good point. I used to joke that I lived in my own little world but that it was OK because they liked me there. My issue isn't drugs, it's what doctors have labeled as "religiously obsessed" which lines up with my diagnoses by a number of top Neurologist in the US of TLE, Temportal Lobe Epilepsy. I do and will have to take anti-convulsive medication for the rest of my life. God's grace is sufficient for me. Although true, it does not work for everyone, in my experience working in a secure mental health facility I have seen visible improvement at the end of the full course, and often not until during their subsequent course prescription. I worry that this positive reinforcement sends the wrong signal to Rebecca. It’d be hard for her not to think, “see, drugs aren’t the problem because people like the high version of me”. Especially when she’s in active addiction and looking for any reason to not stop using.
