This is why I love you, no 'trends' , no heavy brows, heavy contouring or 2 layers of fake lashes for a DAILY makeup.You keep things simple - almost undetectable yet beautifying. You know the true definition of 'makeup'. It's incredible what a small amount of product was used yet it gave so much lift & life to the face. This expresses very well how I felt today and, in consequence, how I decided to do my make up. I revisited that fabulous video with Mary Greenwell and I got really inspired by the natural rosey look she did on the lovely red-head model. I've been wearing very strong makeup lately, very vampy, red lips with full lashes and pale skin but today I needed something natural and fresh so I followed the steps and ended up with a lovely face full of natural blush, lovely skin, almost no mascara, subtle lips and, overall, a very youthful glow. I instantly felt so good and full of energy!

And the way she applies concealer under the eyes isn't the same with other YT "gurus". She applies only a very thin amount of product and uses the same color of concealer for spot concealing. Other YT gurus use a very light concealer under the eyes and skin-colored concealer for spot concealing. I'm not saying they're all wrong but I preferred Lisa's way of doing it.

It's so strange how most people just slap on the bronzer to get rid of the pale look, while in truth it's just so beautiful. Nothing wrong with being pale. I think you and Goss do the best looks while respecting people's natural skin tone. Only 2 subscriptions left after looking at 500 tons of bronzer and glitter and 1000 massive wings, worthy of carrying a long distance passenger aircraft, being caked on. I personally just don't dig the drag look on women. I do find it gorgeous on men. Some of these guys are true artists.

The "patting" technique has been something I've done for many years. Makes sense as it gets into the lip/skin rather than just laying on top of the lip. This is my everyday makeup, but without highlighter and foundation (and the eyeliner Lisa beautifully demonstrated at the end). It's amazing how great you can look just by enhancing eyelashes and eyebrows, with a rosy lipstick (I use Chanel's classic Mademoiselle for 5 years now) and a little blush. I never use foundation as I find it too heavy, so I use a very small amount of BB cream or tinted cream on my nose and chin where I may have some redness and a little bit in the corners of my eyes to conceal dark circles. +Joey H Your skin is not ugly trust me. You may be focusing too closely on perceived 'flaws'. Make-up is about effect not perfection - a good skin has texture and life .... its not a blank mask. Keep your foundation light and then use a good concealer - watch my 'Eldridge Technique' tutorial. You are beautiful X
