BluebearChu i rather have that than leave for the airport like two hours before the flight. When my older brother decided to join us for a boston trip last year, he just decided to go to shalimar at the last moment, and we got to check in like only an hour before the flight. Otherwise, we try to arrive four hours before the flight itself. For us, it is a forty minute drive to the airport we nowadays take, even though we have one thirty-five minutes away and another twenty-five minutes away

Love this show. Only criticism is a party in the mid 90’s wouldn’t be “epic”. A party in the mid 90’s would be “dope” or “bangin’’ or “fly” “gettin’ jiggy” or “the bomb” but most likely, cause these guys are dorks, “all that and a bag of chips”.
@AskMiko

@SYDAirlineEnthusiast
@SYDAirlineEnthusiast 5 жыл бұрын
Yeah, this show doesnt portray the 90’s correctly. Like 1995 in this show matches 2015. 1999 in this show matches 2019. Only thing they are doing is not using cell phones and putting really old cars out there. Despite i havent seen anyone use a cell phone until 2004-2005, i knew enough people had cell phones during 1995-1999. Also even today, a third of the cars i see are from the 90s. So this show feels more like the present than the past.

@SYDAirlineEnthusiast

J R that is only in tv; i noticed that even during the shows in the 2000s, airport security was not as tough as in real life; i can agree before 9/11, airport security wasnt as tense as now in real life, but still, I am sure it was as tough back then. I have only been on a plane once before 9/11, and that was in 1999. I was really little back then, so the only thing I can still remember right now from that experience was me sitting inside the plane and knowing how the cabin looked like.

The whole purpose of money gift is to encourage children to have investment skill. Spending money into goods means they grow up to select which stocks they prefer best, but well in their time, it was commodity. Chinese people used to be expert at business and investment, but until war with japan, changed investment into saving so they can fund war, then chinese' economy was downhill, and china's reeducation policy make children cant even running business without parents' help. That's why, i prefer to give my children money gift but hide when someone else come in.

Sa Ga its so weird jessica is like a guru at chinese culture, and yet she speaks only English to everyone. This should have been Grandma Huang. Jessica came to the us when she was like 18, so its weird. Impressive I must say. I came to the us when I was 9, but my knowledge of the indian culture is nowhere near hers of the chinese culture.

In China we say if you cut your hair in the first month of the Chinese new year something unfortunate is gonna happen to your uncles( maternal side only, your father’s brothers would be ok, and don’t ask me why ). My husband has 3 maternal uncles so he still doesn’t cut his hair during that months, just in case lol
@shuozhang3879
@shuozhang3879 5 жыл бұрын
Amy farrow you could, because although his uncles don’t really believe that, old people in China want to be respected so that might still piss them off. Doing that would make the person look so immature and even stupid though lol.
