And in terms of love and relationships, she should trust him more. He doesn't care about other women as anything more than friendships and that's been clear on multiple occasions. And instead of pushing his friend away and acting like that, she could have simply asked to join them and observed what was going on to settle her doubts.

Whenever I'd date someone I'd make it clear that I make the separation of dating and friendship. It is mostly not really about trust. It is mostly about keeping people from doing something stupid. We are all capable of doing something stupid believe me I am made some in my time. Why tempt fate? What is wrong with swapping out the girl for a guy friend to play pool with? (Something Jessica was OK with). Perhaps an illustration will help. Perhaps one day you have a fight with your wife and to blow off some steam or just cool off you go to play pool with your friend. Your friend is sympathetic to your plight and in a moment of weakness you cheat. Or lets do another situation let's say you have been marital problems for months now and instead of talking about it with your wife you talk about it with your opposite sex friend. Same thing happens. IMO it is just about eliminating complications and stupidity that we know we are all capable of. At least that is how I look at it.
