Yup. You can see that a lot in some people. Like a 18 year old Filipina in the Philippines marry a 25 year old Filipino solder who she never met in person in U.S.A just to get a visa. Some are family arranged marriages too. No love, just convenience. Guy wants ball wet. Lady wants to come to U.S.A

I know that let down feeling. I was reminiscing about my 45 years with my wife last 17 September and my grandaughter asked if I got on one knee to which I replied yes at Jen Scholtens flat in Hastings. My wife did not remember that. I could not speak and that also meant nothing to her. By the way she never gets me an anniversary present.

Damn. People make tough choices everyday to survive, but I'm sure it hurts on the receiving end. 45 years though? Not many people get that... so maybe it worked out well? At the very least you have a granddaughter you can reminisc with, and memories before you found out.
@jbs00092 жыл бұрын
Sir you need to not be bitter about that, people are much younger when they start to experience a little bit of dementia and forgetfulness, even something that you would think would be important like that, it hits some people harder than others in their 60's.

@@gardengnome3249 I'm just saying don't take it personally, the older people get the worse their memory may tend to get, depending on certain factors, don't use it as justification to be resentful, it's for your own good, try to be more empathetic, especially you are the man in the relationship, you need to be tougher man, can't let nature get under your skin, it's obviously eating you up inside, I would presume probably a bunch of other stuff , forgive and forget, be in the moment, God bless.

Let me unsettle you even more: I recently adopted a stray cat. Never Googled or searched anything related to cats ever before, but by Day 2 of owning her I was already seeing ads for cat toys and cat food. That gave me chills. My theory is that since your phone is ALWAYS listening to you (for things like "OK Google" or "Hey Siri"), they figured out that I had taken on a cat as soon as I took her in and started talking about it to my roommate.

There are so many things wrong with this. Firstly, you'd have to be outside of the country to apply for an extraordinary visa and interview at a US embassy, not at a USCIS office in the US. Also USCIS is Department of Homeland Security and the Embassies are Department of State. Neither of those are Department of Justice. Also, this show is based in the 90s. USCIS didn't even exist yet. It was the immigration and Naturalization Service (which actually was under department of Justice, so I guess technically they could be half right lol) . Lastly, immigration officers don't just stand at a counter and deny people's applications as they line up in front of you. Funny clip, but it's crazy how little research writers put in sometimes.
@paelie2 жыл бұрын
Yea I guess they could have showed her submitting her application along with a video of her singing and ventriloquizing, having the committee view it, stamp "Denied" on it, then a match cut onto her holding the application in her hand after having taken it out of the envelope sent to her dorm, throwing it dramatically away when she sees Louis on one knee and accepts his proposal. More realistic.

I mean, showing what immigrants really go throw would be both boring and probably controversial. Most Americans obviously don't know what it is like to come here "legally", to "get in line" as they like to say. It's a very dehumanizing and demotivating process.
