Fresh Pasta with Lemony Brown Butter and Parm

Here's a homemade pasta recipe that requires no double zero flour, no pasta machine, no pasta accessories, no stand mixer, and no special skills. While some homemade shapes require a practiced knack, rolling the dough into long snakes is literally child's play. I made it this way because I want as many people as possible to make this! But if making it from scratch is not your jam, just use 8 ounces of dried spaghetti, perciatelli, or linguine instead. The sauce is easy AF, a lemony-browned butter sitch that's giving big piccata energy, with lemony alfredo vibes pulling up alongside. Date night is coming! This is your plan.

YES, it's a thing, as Carla demonstrates here. A bunch of years ago, I did something similar, but not with the sauce, put the lemon and pepper INTO the pasta while I made it. It was good, need to do it again and get my pasta making mojo going again.

I went to Italy in 2015 and had pasta at a little hole in the wall place outside of St. Peter’s and took a picture of this dish and for 8yrs I’ve been looking for the pasta used. What I love is that life continues on even when she's taping the show as Cosmo's older brother arrives and has to walk in front of the camera, then later we see Mister Music's back in jacket as he heads into the front of the house, the dog and the cat etc, all commingle in and out of the kitchen. This looks good. A bunch of years back when I was into making pasta, I did a lemon/pepper pasta but not the sauce, I may just have to try this, even if I do store bought pasta to start with. I can see it with Pancetta or Prosciutto or something like that to add to the sauce, with a veggie on the side for a complete meal.
