Hey I've been watching you for years but I wanted to say as a dad myself it's awesome to see how happy you are in life now. It seems your family really brings you real happiness and it shows in your passion on KZbin. I think you've grown a lot in the last few years and are a real inspiration for other men. Cheers from Alberta!

Man those grass mullet are so good to eat!!! You are missing out dude!!! I know they taste different from different locations but those are a delicacy in north Florida! They are an acquired taste but they rank in my top 5 with Hogfish, Scamp, Flounder and Blackbass

I'm also from North Florida , and I have commented the same thing. My coworker goes out and nets 50 (limit) of them during spawning season. He gave me some fried mullet milt to try several months ago. It was good.

One of the best crab baits I use in South Carolina is those giant mullet I throw a cast net for those that are stuck in tidal lagoons. Those big 12”-16” ones just chop it up into 3-4 pieces and shove all those big ones into the bait cylinder only cut the biggest one into 3-4 pieces and then make slices in the other ones you shove in there and always put the traps 10-15’ from a large oyster bed or floating dock pilings the like to hang out under the oyster bar and like to attach themselves to dock piling or fallen over trees in the water that provides cover for them they don’t like to be in open. I’ve seen giant redfish cruise the bank whipping there tails against salt grass trying to flush them out but the redfish know how sharp oyster beds are (look for the longest oyster bed you can find) and they know barnacles small mussels and oysters attached to private docks also cause injury to them so always put it close to the bank of these inlets. A crab walking around in open water is redfish candy you might get a couple dumb enough to come out of where there hiding but they like oyster bed the most as do stone crabs.

Need to learn the techniques of flounder fishing. They bite similar to crappie have soft mouths but there is an actual way to fish for them instead of just accidentally catching one on accident. Once you figure it out it will be the most fun time fishing for them and they are incredible especially stuffed with crab meat and broiled or just by themselves fried. It actually takes skill to catch doormat’s. But try flounder fishing use a mud minnow and don’t buy one of those flounder rigs you see at bait shops. Use a crappie eagle claw hook and heavy split shot about a foot to a foot and a half above the bait and cast and slowly real like you are casting with a clock throw 9am-3pm if no hits move spots. Also use mud minnows that are colorful not just the brown ones I’ve found the colorful ones work much better. There’s your next video.
