8:18 Moonkins are considered humanoids and can use sappers/bombs, can open doors, sit down on chairs etc. Engi is BiS for Boomie since they dont have the most AoE

Boomie is a meme. Even if you go balance you don’t get moonkin because the points are better spent elsewhere. The only reason you go moonkin is because you like the look lol.

@@crabalockerfishwife5660 I know balance in general is a meme spec, but I’m struggling to figure out where a singular talent point would be better spent. You’re already taking all the good talents that lead up to Moonkin, and the ones you skip along the way aren’t that useful. I could be wrong as I haven’t really played Balance seriously, but the suggested builds I saw online all take Moonkin form except some PvP builds.

@@GriffintheDude88 I think he's saying that cuz most of the time youll be asked to heal but if youre doing dps and casting spells that single talent gives you as much armor as dire bear form and 3% spell crit to your whole party.

Couldn't agree more! My Skullrock Druid got to full Tier 2 and was pushing a few bosses in Naxx. Weather it was going into bear to pick up a resisted taunt in AQ40 to protect the cloth users or the swiftmend, nature swiftness clutch saves when a dps pulls a boss, Druid can truly do everything. It simply depends on the person controlling them. Great video!

Great vid man and I appreciate your honest style / delivery. One suggestion from myself would be to consider the balance of audio coming from game vs your own. At times I found the game music overpowered your voice. Keep it up all the same! Thanks for the Druid advice. Cheers!

Druids definitely come into their own in TBC. Bear tanks are absolute monsters, Moonkin and Cat become viable DPS for raid, and Resto become even stronger raid healers. I healed from Classic through Wrath and never regretted my decision for a moment. I hope you have fun along the way!

My main in vanilla was a prot warrior, then from TBC+ onwards it was Enh/Resto Shaman, which was fun to play, but in vanilla I slowly leveled a druid to twink out in each bracket like 29 39 49 ect..... and I had a blast. They were very fun in PVP for the mobility and able to do everything basically, tank heals dps.... with some useful stuff like stealth to capture flags or the powershift to escape roots/snares. or to help heal an ally or root someone in place. They were amazing from TBC+ when they got cyclone, but still a fun a versatile class to play and for leveling. Endgame.... vanilla had the problem where hybrid dps kinda sucked, and so feral or balance were just meh, but if u got a chill guild then they wont care cause in a 40 man raid it doesn't matter cause u just need people to fill in the spots and classic raids are simple and easy compared to later xpacs so not a big deal to bring some hybrid dsps since they still have plenty to offer.

I agree they were huge for PvP, god tier flag carriers. I was always bad at pvp so I did not partake (the one wsg I ran I was getting flamed for not picking up the flag every time). I did raid though as a healer and was pretty competitive with the other healer classes. Not always optimal for sure, but fun to play! Glad you love them too!

I wouldn't use thick hide. It sums up to about 200 extra armor for 5/5

I agree it definitely isn’t the best talent. I only took it in this example with the assumption that dual spec would be available and any Druid tank could have a dedicated DPS off spec, so I committed all of the Main Spec talent points to Tank based talents. I would probably take a point in Improved Enrage over Thick Hide, but I want sure what else to do with the lingering points.

Bear leveling is better than cat. Cat you can easily run oom, while in bear you never do. Bear doesnt kill quite as fast but never needing to stop to regain mana makes up for that.

True, depending on what mobs you're fighting sometimes you take too much damage as cat and end up ooming after only a few pulls. In that case it's better to go bear for the slow and steady kills with less healing required. I think once you get Innervate you'll largely avoid mana issues as a cat, but having bear as an option is amazing. I love Druids!

One of the downside of druid is probably the hardest class to play optimally in pvp. At least in my opinion.

I definitely agree. Druid has a high skill ceiling in PVP, and at the same time a lot is expected of them especially in WSG. I'm no good at PVP as it is so I steer clear haha

Luckily most players are shit in PVP, so you don't have to play anywhere near optimally to do alright lol And the option to just RUN AWAY in open world PVP is just too nice

Honestly I had considered leveling a mage also because it's so nice having your own ports and a character to farm with, but I never took the time to learn how to AoE farm >.< Maybe it's it's finally time to learn

I have zero interest in endgame content. Have tried it in a number of games. Have not liked it in any of them. I’m all about the leveling journey. And I think I’m not alone. I think that’s part of why people have come back in droves to Warcraft classic. I also think the rush to endgame is part of what made season of discovery which started off so promising wind up crashing and burning.

I was all about end game in Classic 2019, and to that end I was no-lifing the game so I could get into raid as soon as possible and never missed a raid lockout for the entire expansion. It was a lot of fun back then, but this time I'm really taking my time and enjoying the journey this time around =)

If you pick Druid you WILL heal (and arguably be the worst healer in game) or, maybe, tank and farm crowd pummelers for hours each week. Even IF you find a non-neckbeardy raidlead who'd let you go Boomie or cat, half the raid is already warrior and mage, so you HAVE to heal. Sry.

My raid team in classic had a Druid off tank, a cat DPS, and a Moonkin in addition to two Resto Druids. Classic raids are easy and you don’t have to minmax your comp so much. Feral and Balance aren’t optimal for sure, but not every raid is gonna be hardcore sweat lords. A lot of people will play Resto in raid because that’s the most viable spec, and they’re actually fantastic in the right hands. That’s what I played through all of Classic, and maybe I played with scrubs, but I often outhealed other classes on the meters.

I'm not denying lots of raid teams will stack warriors and mages, but every raid needs 40 people and there will be plenty of opportunities to play a less optimal class/spec. I think people will be a lot less sweaty this time around since we just did this 5 years ago.

@@GriffintheDude88 If Vanilla Classic from 5 yrs ago (and all the hype that went along with it) is ANY indication, the willingness to accommodate offspecs (in vanilla called "memespecs" for a reason) will be minimal. People wanna take the "fresh hype" to finally push those epic DPS numbers they dreamed of... to do those crazy speed raids they saw videos about... and the gamerdads just wanna be done with MC in 40 minutes, and with Naxx in 1.5 hrs. A boomie, an Enhancer, a Ret Pally... they just weigh you down. And then they compete with the gear that your "real" DPS need (the mages and warris who literally do 3 times the DPS cuz Vanilla is broken af). That's for the "fun raid" with the alts. Not the main raid. (I played Boomie and Enhance throughout Classic). All these KZbinrs ahead of Classic launch back then who said "bring the player, not the class" or "Vanilla is so easy, have fun with memespecs" were proven very wrong.

Priest is definitely a super safe and consistent leveler. Sometimes it can feel like a slog because you're wanding a lot of the time, but if you get a poog wand you're zooomin bro!
