We're at opening night for Knotts Scary Farm for 2024 and what a great night it was. We hit every house, including the two new ones. Widows (spider themed) and Eight Fingers Nine (still don't know what this theme was).
Almost everything was awesome (except for Camp Snoopy. What the heck was that?!?!) and we had a great time getting scared. I even led off most houses which added to me freaking out considerably more than usual.

Hilarious and Awesome. The reactions are pure gold. So much screaming, LUL. Love how much pure unadulterated fun was clearly had. Every step of the way looked like a good time, even if it seemed Camp Snoopy was a strangely foglesss. It normally isn't at all. Always love the honest overview as each part of the event is experienced. Knotts has so much pride in this event clearly. The actors, the designers, the people who build the park out to make it such a Halloween Masterpiece all deserve thanks. Being basically the first park to do this, that heart just keeps on beating in it's glorious bloody best. This event is why all our local events are such high quality. Heck I think even Oogie Boogie is more intense in a way than Disneyworld (tho still Disney) cause this is our baseline for anyone looking for a Halloween event to experience locally. The shows, remember where Elvira took us and all the other shows and The Hanging, we want that feeling of being treated like an adult and this goes for it. It's the full grown up experience while being still homemade in a great way, full of soul.

Both the Log and Mine Rides used to be AMAZING at Haunt! 2.5 hour lines...Then they did away with all the scare actors and we don't even bother with them anymore unless we are bringing someone who has never been to Knott's.

the Knott's Cast is doing a great job. both David and Liz take one or two steps and jump every second from being scared love seeing how great the cast are at scareing people. I have to admit David going in circles as he was filming was starting to give me a headache as I was watching the video.... shakey camera movement always gives me a head ache even when watching a horror movie. I got headache when watching the Blair Witch Project.

Universal can afford to have new mazes for HHN every year. Its all IP, with a few originals tossed in. Knotts does everything in house, so they want to get good use of everything. A good amount of Knotts mazes also get shipped out to other Cedar Fair parks once theyre "retired" at Knott's. Dark Ride is at Canada's Wonderland. Another parks has a version of Trick or Treat and Cornstalkers streets. I thought I saw something about The Depths going somewhere, but i guess not.
