This particular scene gives me goosebumps. The way he uses that sword at swashbuckling speed makes me fall for him even more. He is a tremendously gifted actor and a pure soul. God bless Him. Wish him all the success in life

Zisheng checking Fei and Qi for injuries had me in tears. he comes off as cold-hearted and quite vicious (which he can be, as we see here) but he cares for those who care for him. this brotherhood is everything ❤️

Ling Buyi shows his compassion without shame to those who are loyal to the nation and his 2 deputies Fei and Qi know this. You will note that there was never any betrayal from his Black Armored Guards (BAG). However, he is also fearless and shameless in exposing those traitors and brown nosers.

When Niao Niao made his armor, it was imbued with her blood, sweat, and tears. That extra protection is what saved him. There are many cultures that believe that there are magical properties and life in blood. Her blood spilt in the armor's creation is the same as tears spilt on it as well. She willed him to be safe and that's why he rubbed his lucky "rabbit" emblem. He knew what her small sacrifice meant and that she's the reason for his protection and safety. He knows to cherish her and everything she provides him because she cherishes him right back. This drama and couple set tge bar very high for relationships and what to expect from your mate. They don't need to slay real dragons for you, they need to have your back and protect/cherish/love/respect you as you do for them. These are life lessons we need to teach ourselves and the next generations. That is one lucky rabbit and Ling Buyi knows it!

Brilliantly choreographed fight scene. The planning this must have taken. Wonder how long it took to film? ❤️❤️❤️ On a rewatch & once again this scene is just so GREAT!!!!! Almost like a ballet in the way it is precisely choreographed. Each person in the correct position at the right time. WL does his own stunts as well I believe & his adeptness & agility must be a directors dream. He’s given another hint ( if he needed one) that his ‘father’ YL is involved with the tragedy of Gu City. But first things first- he has to save CS & her family.❤️❤️❤️

I thought the whole series was movie quality. Just everything about it from beginning to end was wonderful. I've watched it several times now and every time I watch it I find something new about it. Then I think to myself 'how on earth did I miss this last time?' I loved the humour throughout the show too.
