kenny has always had his zanpakuto beside him. he was just too blind to see it. yachiru is the manifestation of his zanpakuto spirit which was showed in the flashback where they first met which they didnt know their names. truly beatiful

Basically, Kenpachi is an absolute monster, to the point where Gremmy was able to imagine being as strong as him, but his body destroyed itself when he did so because his body isn't strong enough to take that kind of power. Also, rewatch the flashback in this episode. Kenpachi asked Yachiru where she came from, and she touches his Zanpakuto, then asks her her name and she can't answer. Think about this for a second...

They omitted a few things, about Gremmy's thinking. Everyone in Sereitei freak out when Gremmy summon the meteor, the sternritters too. Gremmy wasn't in the first invasion because the sternritters thought Gremmy is so dangerous. This was the first and last fight of Gremmy, he never fought until this moment. About Yachiru's shikai, Isane said things more important that they omitted, I don't know why.

It’s crazy because Gremmy could’ve won so easily by imagining Kenpachi was dead, blew up, or didn’t exist. Gremmy’s own imagination killed him because he never imagined how strong Kenpachi would be and couldn’t believe it. He ended up imagining himself losing. He clapped himself and that’s rough knowing you have one of the most broken abilities in all of anime.

Pretty sure the eyepatch is just a fashion item at this point. He got his full strength (at the moment at least because you just know he’ll get stronger 😂) upon defeating Unohana and he had no need to limit how he fights after that point

Gremmy was no joke Killed 2 captains Summoned a meteor and outer space. If he fought anyone else they would had died for sure. Also some diagloue from other characters were cut like in the manga we learned that gremmy was locked away his whole life cause how terrifying his power's are he never had battle experience

This episode was excellent! I love that Zaraki basically outwitted Gremmy. Something I don’t think he has ever done with an opponent. I do kind of wish that Zaraki had apologized to Isane for killing Unohana. Because he didn't want to kill Unohana. But that's not really who Zaraki is. It was a great piece of animation to see adult Zaraki transition into the child version of him during the whiteout moment where he cut the meteor in half. I love Yachiru. Both adorable and badass. My only complaint is the shot of Zaraki looking up at the meteor looked weird. His teeth were out of proportion. It looks like that infamous cover of Wolverine Revolver #1 to me. Mask wasn't created by James. Mask is James' manifestation of the S Schrift. Gueneal is literally something Gremmy made up. It's a little different.

Irony was that very few people realised why gremmy died bcz with all his heart or brain he thought I want to become even stronger then this man is when he's at his strongest which is kenpachi with a bankai but his bankai is soo strong and it gives him soo much goddamn strength like literally the strongest ever to walk the world which start to break his body now gremmy imagines being stronger then that in strength which is why he started to swell and then immediately broke bcz he couldn't handle the power just like when kenpachi body wouldn't handle his bankai or will be in anime later

Nozorashi can cut anything, but in order to properly use such a blade, you yourself must be more powerful than whoever you're fighting because it brings the fight down to a battle of strength and skill instead of who has the best power in that situation. Kenpachi just happens to have unimaginable strength and just learned (or, more accurately, remembered how) to outfight the first Kenpachi at her absolute peak.

That’s what happens when you have no experience with a broken power hence, “No one ever tried to lay a finger on me.” So therefore, there was no proper time to fully polish this power to its fullest extent. When your first opponent is Kenpachi Zaraki of all people, you have to think very quickly or you die.

@@gremmythoumeaux2393 he has still shown that he can trasmute things(like he did with yachiru's bones) so his powers were at least polished enough to the point where he could've won but apart from lacking experience he was probably too arrogant and prideful to just insta win(or maybe the author just said "no we can't have him do that because of plot"). I'll take his potential to a further level: if he imagines a zone in space were the fundamental forces don't exist he could just create an area where matter disgregates to subatomic levels...another possibility is him imagining a false vacuum decay(that would probably destroy him and the universe itself too though😂)

It's not that he couldn't imagine that stuff, it's that he didn't want to, he started off mostly messing around because, he's the strongest, Kenpachi can't beat him. However once Kenpachi put the idea of the strongest wanting to crush the strongest, for the first time in his life he wanted to prove his strength against someone at his level. He didn't want to prove he's strong to himself, he already knew he was the strongest. He didn't want to prove he's strong to others, because it's obvious that he's the strongest. However, he wanted to prove to Kenpachi he's the strongest, he wanted to crush Kenpachi in battle. He could have easily killed Kenpachi, however what he wasn't able to do was "defeat" Kenpachi, which is why he didn't once use the visionary directly on Kenpachi
