Nike really hype the air max DN so hard but This air max heel "tube bubble" technology is a rehash from previous models like nike air max 2001 and nike air p-phaze. So yes, this is not new tech.

I think people will buy this mostly for aesthetics, which fits it because it's technically a lifestyle shoe. It does give off a 90s vibe, as well. We've been so spoiled (myself included) by better cushioning tech these days, mas pihikan na mga paa natin haha (NB Fuelcell, Nike ZoomX, Nike React, etc.)
