Back in the arma 2 days I played on a server where the owner would routinely get drunk, spawn a tank (otherwise unavailable on the server) and drive around shooting at players. And then sometimes he'd pass out drunk at his computer without remembering to delete the tank, so my buddy and I would steal the tank and use it for ourselves until the server owner woke up and deleted it lol

@@yourgrandmotherspimp1280 there are already grenade launchers in the game. an rpg7 for example would not be effective against infantry unless you are using fragmentation. so i dont see a problem (plus it and its ammo are heavy to carry and very rare).

You could already defend yourself against the bmps if they were added because they have very thin armor less than 20 mm the landmines and 40 mm grenades could easily destroy and kill the crew inside the tank or kill all the crew but leave the tank mostly intact due to the pressure from the explosion killing them so I don't think a RPG would be necessary but it would definitely be cool to have

The btr60, brdm2 and bmp are already in the game as static crashes. So those would all be obvious additions at some point. I think that the brdm2 would be a very good addition since it is very lightly armored and takes multiple people to properly operate. They could add an at rifle grenade that goes on the sks since the sks already has a grenade rifle attachment on it. As well as at grenades for the grenade launcher. Maybe even some model of the rpg.

I want to see a BTR 82, thing would have a ton of storage space making it pretty much a mobile base, and the main gun would be very powerfull. It would be balanced by requiring you to switch seats to fire, or needing a crew of 2 minimum to shoot on the go, and the blasts would attract a lot of zombie attention.

I could see a horse really working in this game. Imagine the possibles and they can be like other animals However, they would needed to be tamed from the haybales or hay piles already in the game. Add the saddle for the horse and it could have a stamina system like players so its not infitinty running and to balance it can go only up to 20km/h or less with the use of stamina

BMP needs a lot of work. To be accurate, a BMP is not a tank. Its an APC. BMPs aren't tree killers. Being a former Bradley driver, healthy trees are strong enough to stop APCs and shut off the engine on impact. And if there where BMPs added, then the counter balance would be to add RPGs and an RPG backpack and a portable mortar.

we used to play arma 2 dayz overpoch some server had T34 from ww2 and some other light armored trucks and it was amazing~! its not that bad! you can easly hide from it if you can counter it or use an RPG... 1 rocket did the job.

I'll a nerd here, first vehicle is a light vehicle called the Fennek, 2nd one would be an early version of an MTLB maybe? 3rd one would be as it's called a BMP-3. However none of these are tanks, the BMP is an IFV (Infantry Fighting Vehicle)

fun fact. what is making car driving realy akward in day z is that you cant shoot out of the car even as pasenger... since it is often a rp game you should even be able to do stuff withing the car like putting a knife on the neck of the driver or even use guns inside the car. realy unfinished implimentation of the devs. also what is missing: you should be able to fortify a car with metal sheets and stuff so that you cant be sniped out so easy realy camon bohemia boys :D

I'll be that guy. The BMP-3 (Boevaya Mashina Pekhoty, Meaning "Infantry Combat Vehicle") is a IFV used by the Soviet Union and in use with Russian Forces. It has been in service since 1987 and produced since 1986. Mass: 18.7 Tonnes Length: 7.14 M Width: 3.2 M Height: 2.4 M It has a crew of 12 in total. Able to hold 7 troops in the back. The Driver, Gunner and Commander. It has two extra seats either side of the driver manning two 7.62 MM PKT Machine Guns. Its main armament is the 100 MM 2A70 Cannon with the 30 MM 2A24 Autocannon mounted to the side of the Main Gun. Its powered by a UTD-29M Diesel 500 HP. With an operational range of 600 km (370 mi) and a max speed of 72 km/h (45 mph) on road and 45 km/h (28 mph) off-road. It also has amphibious capability with a top speed of 10 km/h (6.2 mph) in water.

Armed vehicles back in dayZ mod where THE thing to aim to, it was the endgame, as armed vehicles where very powerfull, a heli with a door gunner was deadly if used by the right squad, and i played on an Arma 3 exile server that was basically Dayz Epoch from arma2 1:1 just in new paint. There at the bandit/hero trader you could, with enought -/+ humaity buy an Armored APC with an Computerized M2 turret on it, and thanks to the Tanks DLC an optional missile skirt or some shitty camo net, that thing tho cost like 2 or 3 mil caps, and it came with the downside of the turret not being manned, meaning 2 or 3 BMG shots to it would disable the turret, ontop of that almost every mission had atleast 2 stationary TOW missile launcher and Armed vehilces patroling.

The BMP-3 is a Russian IFV (Infantry Fighting Vehicle), it is one of the most heavily armored IFVs still in service today. It was manufactured between early 1980s and mid 1990s by both the USSR and the Russian Federation. It’s ancestors, the BMP-1 and BMP-2 has been seen in litteraly every civil war after 1980s, meanwhile the BMP-3 has been Russia’s main IFV in all it’s wars after the collapse of the Soviet Union; first and second Chechen war(1994-1996 and 1999-2009), Russo-Georgian war(2008), and also Russo-Ukraine war which is now, and many more. The IFV’s role is to allow foot-soldiers rapid deployment and redeployment in a battle, and also provide with fire power against enemy infantry on a frontline.

There were NO true tanks in the video. A BMP-2 is an infantry fighting vehicle, not a tank. It has SHEET metal sides, reinforced in places with steel aplique. It doesn't have the armor of a tank. The first ones out (which were actually an improvment on the BMP-1) could actually get both driver and commander killed at the same time due to incoming fire. Eventually, it was upgraded to have the commander in the reinforced turret, and could supposedly withstand a 23mm and 12.7mm shots to the front, the sides are really only designed for 7.62x39. That's pretty weak. Shaped charges will completely defeat the armor, of course. The more armor that got added, the less amphibious it became. Essentially, it's an amphibious glass cannon that has a tendency to sink at bad moments. It's typical Cold War trash. Too bad the mod doesn't reflect it as it actually is.

Fennek is Maltese for rabbit. The Gaz 71 Taiga is nice. The Taiga should turn on the spot if you just hit left or right. The BMP is an IFV rather than a tank. The BMP-1 has a 73mm gun that fires monster RPG rounds. The BMP-3 has a 100mm gun and a co-axially mounted 300mm chain gun. I think they will just get used as troop carriers. Having BMP-3's with a working guns is going to be game breaking. You could just park up at any base and mow the walls down and raid it.

Need Pick up truck or SUV, lesser than M3S but higher capacity than 300 slots. Auto transmission in the M1025 causes major glitching accidents, console lock-up and loss of vehicle + cargo. So 4-speed would be optimal. A canvas or hard top shell to protect cargo from getting "soaked" is likely required as well. Boats have about 4 places to visit offshore, only 2 of which yield any looting. Tanks will lessen the effort of base raiding. Will destroy civilian vehicles and M1025 surely cannot withstand. Attackers would not be stoppage, at least without extreme munitions currently unavailable. RPG? Not in real life, so in game seems unlikely. Cannons or another tank is needed. Obviously, driving the M# vehicles increases body temperature, requiring driver often stops to hydrate. Perhaps this setback will be increased for tank operation to give average load out survivors the chance to follow or wait out an attack for the advantage of sniping the operator. Based on the vanilla difficulties of respawn (or starting fresh) tanks seem like a very complexly questionable addition to the game.

Even if tanks, IFVs or APCs aren’t added, something like a reconnaissance vehicle would be good, since they are fast, lightly armoured and open top in some cases, so depending on the vehicle, it could be effective but vulnerable to certain attacks. Explosives would be pretty bad for them, higher calibre guns could probably penetrate them, and the crew would be somewhat exposed. The crew could have access to mounted weapons though, or the ability to mount the ones they have. Basically makes them a glass cannon, well armed at mid range but weaker at close range, and very vulnerable to top down attacks

Some of those vehicles would work tbh, the first vehicle I a scout, basically a hmvee on roids (even though its not lol) the truck on tracks is literally a truck on tracks lol could work, would carry alot and realistically it would float and move on water (slow though) and the bmp 3 is an APC not a tank ;) basically carries troops it also floats :p ... cool stuff though I dunno if it belongs in dayz, gas guzzlers in an apocalypse
