I have played this server for years. I am very surprised to see how well Church and John have done on it. The server is very hard and there are times it's straight up infuriating. You will die many many times before you can even think of making it south or inland. Good luck to any of you looking to join the community.

This server is a challenge! Proper addicted to CHF. Once you got a knife you should be fine but its still a grind. You can make rags by picking up clothes and shredding them you don't need a knife to do it; get all the body parts covered and make more rags to disinfect etc all about finding chickens/hens to get fishing as soon as you can. I could be wrong but not sure if you can fish in the oceans on there. I've never caught anything from the ocean but always from lakes/ponds. Hope you'll give CHF another try, only scratched the surface of the server, it has so many modded locations and some really cool logical mods. Great video and what an ending 😂

there was briefly a feature like that on the DayZ Epoch mod for arma 2.. you could knock a player unconscious then drag them from the scroll wheel , they would then wake up to being dragged down the road by a sprinting zombie that can talk lol

That darkness was added like last patch....but....not into all the buildings, only the Livonia bunker, what this server has done is added it manually to each building (not a simple task adding it to every building lol). I was hoping DayZ/BI would add it to all the buildings, it would be a fantastic addition and bring in missing realism, but they haven't yet, but if you know what you're doing, you can add it yourself, you just have to do every single building lol

Incredible video! Those survival maps are no joke. You lose less food and drink while prone, so if you lay down while eating and drinking you get the absolute fullest amount of points/credit for what you consume instead of eating while running. I haven't got a chance to build a fire in a downed tree yet, but looking forward to trying that out.

After the wipe it took me about 3 lives to get going the first day but since then have not died. Been playing on this server for just over a year. It is a struggle but if you can survive here you can survive anywhere.

Pro tip.....if you sleep while injured or sick, you will heal faster! Took me a few times being on the brink of death to figure that out! and zombie do come out at night!

My current character (Nov 2023) has survived from Svet to Kamensk Mili (ran into a gas zone and a infected bear pack, pushed me southwards), then into the deep woods south of Novo, then tracked the coastline to Berezino. We heard a singular rifle shot from the way we came, so we pushed inland. Upon deciding whether or not to go to Solninchy or not, we heard a massive spurt of multiple guns on a near empty server, so we pushed even deeper inland. We found a survivor's base from "The Last Guard," with a note from a player called Oggy, and a few bits of food, and fished as well. We had two infected bears and a horde of zombies attack us by the Staroye military, which severely injured my friend and gave him Rabies. We managed to get on a car and fight them off, and tried to recuperate him to health in the nearby barn. He decided to end himself, and shot himself, and left me without food as I had to run from his reanimated corpse. I lit two massive fires in the woods and slept through a blizzard. Not knowing where I was, the two fires attracted continuously a group of zombies from the local military base, and my wetness kept me from sleeping too much. Now I'm heading further south trying to reach the coast and any large town that has access to water and an industrial area. I have one actual round left for my shotgun, and only rubber slugs otherwise. I found four bullets of mosin ammo, and four bullets of 7.62x39, but also a box on one of the zombie bodies. I need to hunt to have longer stores of food than the paltry amount that fishing provides; and my pot is damaged - it breaks quickly if used on a fire for cooking. I am hoping to find a radio soon to communicate with a player named "Doctor Steve," who my friend told me about; apparently he offers medical aid to any player on the map, and comes from the Southwest. If I can get in that region and get myself situated with a 7.62x39 rifle, I am confident in my ability to hunt for my survival and setup a camp of sorts by some isolated pond. So far we're on close to 24 hours of life.

thats how it should be in vanilla. sucks that in a ZOMBIE game, your character doesnt reanimate after a few seconds or minutes and becomes a zombie, while carrying everything that you had on them... and a having a variety of zombies, different health, speeds, visual differences, and a seasons system would GREATLY help and benefit the game, as well as make it more Immersive

They should make a realistic server where just getting bitten is enough to give you the zombie infection. Slowly draining your life and eventually killing you and turning you into a zombie. Or at least where getting scratched or bitten by a zombie leads to an infection that only tetracycline can cure.

namaslk is way more emmersive than chern + liv combined just because of the harshness ... the cold makes it far more interesting! + namalsk has a reason to push towards a common erea or goal, chern doesn't, livonia kinda does , but it should be expanded upon a lot more!!!

The charcoal probably needs to be mixed with water, to make lye. Then if you mix the lye with fat in a pan and heat it you will make soap.
