One of the things that blew me away when I saw these guys in a club in London back in 2007 during a mini pre-release tour for Blackbird, was Myles' ability to pick the guitar strings and use the available fingers of his picking hand to pluck other strings as he played, whilst also singing. That's rubbing your head, patting your belly, whilst riding a unicycle on a tightrope multi-tasking that is beyond comprehension. I then knew what Mark meant in an interview when he said he considered Myles the better guitarist - because of how much diversity, skill, adaptability and playing range that Myles has as a musician.

I absolutely love these Fret12 videos, I own a bunch on dvd. My single and only critique, not a complaint but a critique would be for the playthroughs we should hear what the guys are playing rather than mostly hearing the album version of the song. Perfect scenario would be just to have bass and drums on a track and guitars be the actual live performance. 🤘🏼🙂

Met my childhood hero Mark Tremonti after their show in Chicago! Most humble guitarist ever, fist bumped me and gave me his signed guitar pick, these guys (Alter Bridge) sound clean yet punchy on stage and musicianship at highest level. They are the next Metallica in terms of the musical impact.

This was 2013 or 2014(from an old Sound and Story DVD when Fortress came out). He's not necessarily done with Mesa either. The MT15 came out in 2018, but he's continued to use a some sort of Mesa Rectifier alongside an Archon for live shows. He also still uses Mesa 4x12s on tour as well. I presume that for the next tour he does after good ol Coronski Virus, he'll be using the MT100 which is in the works with PRS right now. I also have a feeling he's gonna stick to his Mesa cabs instead of doing a 4x12 with PRS.(not sure about that one though).

@@firmansaragi498 Oh really eh? I’d never heard that side of the story. Interesting! Although, I’m not sure Mesa denied Mark a sig amp. For years he didn’t want his name on an amp so that he wouldn’t be stuck with it if something better came along. Then, he heard the Archon and was blown away, and decided to do a little amp with PRS. Loved it so much that now they’re working on a 100 watt version. To be fair, he’s not the best PLAYER in the world either. But his songwriting abilities are unbeatable, he’s an amazing performer, and his taste in guitars and tone is amazing. He’s said himself, the guitar playing was a byproduct of trying to write beautiful music. Interesting nonetheless. I didn’t realize that he had such strong ties to Mesa before either!
