I appreciate they way he lays this out. Explaining the modes so not only am I learning this specific solo, I understand the building blocks used to put it together.

Very through and very well taught, simply because he used the correct terms and techniques and honestly I think this is one of the best lesson videos on KZbin. Much respect for this man simply because he is taking time to sit down and get lessons over his songs to play them PROPERLY, many artists don't even have that kind of appreciation for their fans.

I just really love Marks approach to everything he does. He has such a humble outlook on everything. He works hard on his playing and the results show it. I want one of these guitars so freaking bad.... S

Someone mentioned the hardest working guitarist in Rock. That is an understatement. This cd is unbelieveable. Keeping Creed fans happy and of course Alter Bridge fans know they are in the loop. One of these times around, I will get to meet you. You are def an inspiration and kicka** guitar player. Joe TN.

I am not sure but if I had to guess, I'd say that he is doing a meet and greet at all of the shows. They only play the full cd and that's it so that's probably what gives them the time for the greet. You just have to buy some merch to get in line. I already had the cd in my car so I just brought that in (sorry Mark!) It's really cool since they are willing to actually talk to you and not just pass you through the line as fast as possible. They're all true gentlemen!

Get this! I caught the Tremonti show last night in Rhode Island and the band did a "meet & greet" afterwards. I apologized to Mark for owning one of his guitars and being so terrible. He laughed and told me to just keep practicing. I then told him I could play the shit out of Smoke on the Water. Killer show though!

yeah according to Mark in the solo breakdown the only harmonics are the natural harmonics ending the solo and leading to the final chorus. However the way he moves down that A string towards the end in the performance part, especially on the bend, it does sound like there are a couple of PHs there.

To this day, I don't have a favorite AB album. I'm was leaning towards Blackbird then AB3 was released. The first song I heard was "Open your Eyes" and One Day Remains was a great first album. What If and Human Clay are my favorite Creed songs. I like Full Circle over My Own Prison (was a bit one dimensional in comparison, One is my favorite on that album).

Can someone explain to me something: at 0:29 mark sounds like every note hes playing hes using a pinch harmonic, is he actually using a pinch? or is it just a specific pedal, or just the freaking quality of PRS guitars thats giving it that twangy hard sound?

I RATHER HEAR THE DEEPER VOCALS LIKE THIS, W/ THE BACK GROUND HARMONIZING W/ HIGHERS VOCALS, THEN THE OTHER WAY AROUND, HIGH PITCH VOCALS AS THE LEAD. I LOVE ALTER BRIDGE MORE THAN CREED, AND YES EVERY BAND IS DIFFERENT IN THEIR OWN WAYS, BUT IN MY 'OPINION'.... THIS RUNS BETTER. WHEN YOU HAVE A HIGHER SOUNDING SINGER AS LEAD, IT TENDS TO GET WINY AT TIMES AND CRYING AND ROCK SHOULD BE LEFT FOR G N R TO DO. MARK YOU ROCK!! DON'T EVER PUT THE 6 STRING DOWN !!.
