The fret board became understandable and memorable in a way no one previously had done. Additionally, being able to test yourself and go back to see your mistakes is an unparalleled function. Thanks. I don't doubt Harrison, Lennon and McCartney did something similar to this when they were first starting out. I feel robbed knowing that you weren't available until I was much older. Well done. While I use the dot markers on 3,5, and 7 frets rather than using the fret marker on the 9th fret I use the 10th fret as they are all natural notes. I also tend to use mnemonics which work for me,but not necessarily others. I also use the 2 along and 2 down method for the 5th and 6th strings, the 3 along and 2 down for the 4th and 3rd string and the open C shape method for the strings 1 and 2. There are also some good apps on the markket to keep a person fresh with little quizzes on note positions on the fretboard.

This was an incredible video, but one big improvement would be to have the on screen answers disappear a lot sooner or having the video longer with a section without them. For me I found myself having to awkwardly look away and imagine the fretboard for most of the exercises and when the notes do disappear there isn't much longer left to really practice it.

As a visual aid place green stickers under the whole notes of your fretboard and red stickers under your sharps/flats. Its the same concept as piano keys. The colors aren't important so long as you know which is which. Abd two stickers of the same color side by sidewill show you where EF and BC are. Then this by extension will create a visual pattern that you can develop in your mind's eye.
