Congratulation Phil X you and your band did a brilliant rendition of the Hendrix classic Cross Town Traffic from the Electric Lady land album. Fuckin Live & i'm gonna give the Motorhead flag flying over the top of the drums at least a little credit of approval from Lemme & the badass fu manchu sporting drummer is super skilled as well! That 'pickups wound by the same lady who wound them in 57' is just marketing speak. Pickups are wound on a machine. Set the number of turns and the pattern and press GO. Fender didn't go to the old dear and say, 'design us some pickups'. No, they said 'wind us some pickups in a 57 spec. Here's the settings - then go bake us some good old apple pie.'

+CountryHouseGent It's about sentiment, and sentiment sells. And the old machines had kinda weird counters so somethimes they had some with some extra turns and stuff, the ones with the best tones ussually came from one person who had feeling for what was right.
