Congratulation Phil X you and your band did a brilliant rendition of the Hendrix classic Cross Town Traffic from the Electric Lady land album. I think you guys should come over to Australia and tour our country. You'd play to sell out gigs in all 7 of our lucky country. I think you should make it happen. Hell if I had enough cash I'd bring you guys out here myself. Absolutely bloody brilliant.

Man you guys are fuCking killin it lately! The last 4 or 5 vids have just been amazing! The covers & production levels are perfect! Theres just nothing at all to pick on...The live room sounds well? Fuckin Live & i'm gonna give the Motorhead flag flying over the top of the drums at least a little credit of approval from Lemme & the badass fu manchu sporting drummer is super skilled as well! Has he joined the Drills fulltime or what?? 1 more thing, whens the new Drills album drop?? 7 And as good as all these latest covers are,will we ever see them released at some point barring copywrite issues?? I play in a cover band myself so i'm familiar with that aspect of it...Great as always Phil X!

That 'pickups wound by the same lady who wound them in 57' is just marketing speak. Pickups are wound on a machine. Set the number of turns and the pattern and press GO. Fender didn't go to the old dear and say, 'design us some pickups'. No, they said 'wind us some pickups in a 57 spec. Here's the settings - then go bake us some good old apple pie.'
@haakman1239 жыл бұрын
+CountryHouseGent It's about sentiment, and sentiment sells. And the old machines had kinda weird counters so somethimes they had some with some extra turns and stuff, the ones with the best tones ussually came from one person who had feeling for what was right.
@georgevlachos43495 жыл бұрын
@@haakman123 Sorry so may years after but I have a tele 2010 custom shop roadshow with abby pick up in the neck like nothing you have ever heard and did you hear the neck pick up on that 2007 that tone was amazing monster sound get a chance look them up the are wicked
