How about using the green and ivory tulle together? That might really tone down the green and give more of that spring growth color you were hoping for. Can't wait to see it.

Love the leather jacket with tulle. I think a beige nude colour rather than the ivory tulle would work for the skirt. Can't wait to see what you make.

I love the idea of a tulle skirt with moto jacket. The Cashmerette Club has the Gilmore pattern, which is a circle skirt. I'm also going outside of my comfort zone for my Frocktails dress. I hope I get to meet you in Charlotte!

I’m looking again at your inspiration pic and wondering how a layer of embroidered green tulle under a couple of ivory tulle layers would look. It looks like there’s some purple in the pic, so maybe the flowers could have some lavender in them. Just a thought. 🤔 You really have me thinking, Carol. Quite inspiring! Brown leather moto jacket…Yes! I can’t wait to see your final outfit! You’re going to be rocking the Queen City vibe! I haven’t started my outfit yet. Still working on an outfit for my son’s wedding, which is the week before Frocktails. I think I’m going to scale back my Frocktails make. My inspiration includes a little train on the dress, which I love, but I don’t want to appear too bridal. Haha. Decisions, decisions.

Thanks Lynn! I'm sorry it's taken my so long to reply. Sometimes life gets crazy (and so do I sometimes 😟) I've been wondering about you since the hurricane. I hope you're doing ok. Did it affect you much? I'm looking forward to seeing you at Frocktails!

@@pollysews Hi Carol! Mallow & I are safe. That’s a blessing. The hurricane and a tornado caused severe damage to my home. A huge tree uprooted and took out three rooms in my house. The short story is that I haven’t been able to get out any of my sewing machines (or fabric). My beloved Stellaire…I grieve for that one! The Ashville area is flooded. Will Frocktails even be able to take place? My son’s wedding site is near that; the devastation is so severe that they’ve postponed the wedding again. Her family is trapped in the mountains right now, but alive and safe for now. The good news is that I’ve been sleeping better than I have in years here in a different city with my son and his family. Isn’t it strange?
