Excessive heat warnings are in effect for San Diego County’s inland valleys, mountains and deserts. And, lifeguards say they had to perform more than 100 rescues across San Diego beaches on the Fourth of July, mostly due to high rip currents. Plus, water activities are resuming on the Miramar Reservoir on Saturday, following the installation of a new underwater pipeline.
