I actually have done that trail a bunch (I live in the general area) and if he just sent his weight backward or jumped it he would be fine which my friends and I usually do on XC bikes and hardtails (it's a longer jump than it looks on camera). Otherwise, if you don't take the cutoff to the blue segment, you're fucked.

These were some truly brutal OTB's. Really though, screaming is probably the second best thing (aside from trying to break your fall with arms or legs) you could do if you're gonna impact your torso in any way. Clear out the lungs. We get a rain day today. Hero dirt to come!
