Dear Sir, I am an amateur painter and I paint objects from my city with watercolors, but I often look on You Tube to see how professionals do it. I am contacting you because I am amazed by your way of painting. Thank you for such beautiful works. If you are able, please answer me regarding your choice of the Herend /horse hair flat brush. Would you recommend the same to me, or does it matter which flat brush to use considering the type of hair/ goat, buffalo, squirrel, or some synthetic material/. Thank you in advance. Best Regards

Thank you for your interest and question. I like to use structures in my work. In general, it is the granulation of some DS pigments and the strokes of the brush. Dry brush, or at an angle parallel to the surface of the paper, when water and pigment run perpendiculary to the hairs and therefore pass less water and pigment and makes more structures on CP or Rough paper. This is why I prefer a harder hair (Horse etc.) for these structures, than squirrel or other soft hair. Best Regards

I use to love Alison Pinto and Fun Friday. What happened to that? Really enjoyed those shorts and I bought a lot of the paint colors she demonstrated.
