TheArrancar13 The big buck sheep are remorseless fighting machines. I watched one of them hit a coworker in the back of the knees full force, then circle around to his front and ram him dead on in the head. The end result was a severe concussion, a crushed orbital bone, and he had to have surgery on the damaged eye to restore roughly 25% of its vision. It took two of us to restrain the beast because it was going in for more when he was on the ground. That's the worst of it, but they do stuff like that all the time. I was walking in front of one to open a pen for it and apparently it got tired of waiting so it got a running start, jumped about five feet in the air, and clocked me in the back of the head. Good times.

Nah the actual lore is that predators are super deadly and were locked away in another realm. Sheep Dogs however got to stay as they were loyal to sheep and relatively passive. The Sheep character actually doesn't want to fight and sucks at it, but her dogs don't understand that they're not suppose to help. So she's constantly trying to rein them in before they actually cause serious dammage.

I could see that happening, Pom is technically not like her kind, being one to speak up where as everyone else has such a hard group mentality. Plus her main move is a bark, if anything, she is the most predator of all the ungulates

Even with a bunch of things showed off, I'm still a little salty about the massive amount of things the guys missed... and since I REALLY WANT TO TALK ABOUT THIS GAME, I'm gonna' explain a LOT of it, so buckle up! The lack of Level 2 supers (besides Paprika's) is a real shame. Aside from Arizona's acting as a plain combo extender, every character's Level 2 causes a temporary advantageous state change. Velvet encases the enemy in ice, Pom summons an even bigger and stronger dog that can attack more before leaving, Tianhuo becomes able to fly indefinitely for a short period of time and receives improved aerial attacks, and Oleander summons Fred (who is not actually the boss character) to perform what looks like a command grab, and then stay around for a little while to act as a puppet character. A few (yeah, just a few) other assorted things: the Magic system works differently for every character, meaning that everyone gains AND uses Magic differently. Paprika has a very obtuse system involving regaining magic if her opponent eats the food she throws (eat with Light attack; good for traps, move denial?). Oleander's Study works in the air, and it is a sight to behold. Velvet has literally no movement options compared to the rest of the cast, so not only does her moveset revolve around zoning and her super possess magnetism, holding back or forward and Magic will move the opponent in that direction. Arizona's lasso grabs are what charge her Magic meter, and her EX moves, counter, and super dash are all locked behind that Magic. Paprika has a forward charge move not shown here that can be a cross-up teleport or a Faust-esque teleport attack. Tianhuo's only Magic-based moves are directional dashes, the five facing the opponent serving as tackles and diveckicks while the other three directions cause a special jump. Pressing Magic while neutral allows her to fly for a couple seconds, during which her Magic will not recharge. Not only does the music change during character selection, it changes to match the characters and situation (ie. who's winning, both players idling) of matches as well. Every character has an anti-air on forward-Light, and a launcher on down-forward heavy; the game thrives on ground-air-ground loop combos. Also, there are some defensive abilities (I think pushblock and guard cancel) listed in the universal command list. The Pixel Lobby is the interactive multiplayer lobby, featuring a traverse-able world map (that will also be in the eventual story mode) and, currently, one PvE dungeon. I don't know what that last bit entails, but it all sounds very impressive for a little indie fighting game. Finally, a lot of the really early-looking stuff in this build is due to it being rolled back. Major issues were found a few days before launch and key people had low availability, so we got an Early Access title when we were supposed to get a full release. *As of this edit, there has already been one patch* with some minor updates and fixes, and more are coming. The story mode will start rolling out later down the line. It's still impressive that the game is fully functional even in a slightly incomplete state. I wouldn't mind hearing/seeing the Zaibatsu revisit this game down the line, once more content is out and more info is known. And of course, as I'm sure we can all tell, getting good with Pom requires a lot of *lab* time.

I don't think the music changes are restricted to the select menu. It sounds like the respective motifs get layered into whatever stage music is playing for the character with more health as the fight goes on, changing dynamically. If so, then damn, that's pretty fly.

This correct each character has certain instruments that play for the stage theme. there is multiple things that will cause the music to change. Whose winning, your health, combo length, Supers and if you're having a come back.The KZbin channel Icy Deer has most if not the music up if you're interested.

The gimmick with Paprika's food is that each type locks a button when you or your opponent are standing over it and if either of you press that button, you instead eat it and are opened up to being attacked, but can also regain health, magic, or meter from eating it.

Mirthful Crier Can confirm. She has an air dash and air "float" that let her chain mediums back into lights or into more mediums to help combo extend. I've found some cool shit and I haven't implemented the dogs yet 👍

People who watch or are familiar with MLP will realize that the characters in this game ARE just the main MLP cast. Oleander: Twilight, with her magic and books. Velvet: Rarity, uppity pony obsessed with gems and crystals. Pom: Fluttershy, with her animal assists. Paprika: Pinkie pie, with her crazy party tricks and teleportation. Arizona: Applejack, the southern fighter. Tianhuo: Likely Rainbow dash or Spike. In Fighting is Magic, the characters also had pretty similar movesets and abilities that were just carried over into this game. Twilight could read her book to gain meter, etc. There are also Unicorns in the background of the Woodlands with hugely long horns, which are from season 7 of the show.

They did pretty well changing the characters from who they would have been though, at least some of them; Velvet is more stuck-up than Rarity (though she could just be aware of her fabulousness), Oleander clearly has a dark side... that's all I got.
