Luigi stuttered, his body twitched from the shock of his brother; still alive after so long of containnent. "That's me! You saved me, Luigi! Im so proud of you!" Mario smiled before he was suddenly embraced into a hug by Luigi, who was crying on his shoulder. Mario didn't seem to react harshly. He gently wrapped his arms around Luigi back, and the two hugged and wouldn't let go like super glue. "There there, Luigi, I'm here.." Mario assured, patting Luigi on the back. "Let's go home.. the Princess must be worried sick for the two of us." *Luigi nods and smiles before the two held hands and walked away from the dreaded mansion. Once again, showing that with courage and hope, theres always a secobd chance for a better ending..*

My head canon: After Luigi was kicked out of the mansion, Mario being furious at King Boo challenged the ghost himself. If he won, he'd be free to go but if he lost, hed stay as the King's prized painting. Intrigued, he accepted. With the anger fueling Mario, it took him 2 minutes to wipe the floor with the king of ghosts. After he escaped, he found Luigi outside of the mansion grieving about how he lost his bro, and Mario comforted him being so very proud of him for conquering his fear and trying to rescue Mario. Wanting to prove to Mario that he can be that brave again, he told him that the next time Bowser kidnaps Peach, he wants to be the one to save her. Mario couldn't be more proud of his little bro and accepted his request. And thus, New Super Luigi U came to be. Now back to his normal self, hes ready to take on the Koopa King and prove what he said to Mario
