Walked out of the theater saying to my date, the acting and the writing were phenomenal, but *that soundtrack!* I have got to find out who that band was and buy that album! My date agreed, saying how how much she loved that music. And this is Gods honest truth, several years later my date that night went into a coma and almost died. "First Breath After Coma." She miraculously survived. This one's for you, Maria!

I remember going to watch this movie as a Texas High School Football player in 2005. I love this movie, love the tv show, and I love this song. I can't listen to it without getting chills, and it always takes me back to my last game. Texas Forever.

Same story but my position is Defensive tackle. My freshman year I racked up 15 sacks. I'm in my sophomore year and at the end of the season my sacks were 31. Beat my high school record and have scouts from Texas A & M watching me. Hopefully Clemson can see my highlights. Amen brother.

Some of the best days of my life! 2017 was my senior year we missed the playoffs that year we ended up 5-5. The record may not have been great but I wouldn’t have traded it for anything didn’t get to finish my junior season I tore my acl in the 5th game and I wish I could have played that season we had a great shot at state but fell short in the quarterfinals

I played football 7th-12th grade.I graduated high school in 2017.You will never have high school back.It goes by so quick so fast. You live in the moment not with a care in the world.Friends fade away as we all have grown up.I would do anything to have those days back.We made it to state my senior year lost on a last second field goal.It was so heartbreaking but really after that game time flies by.You graduate then next your 21 then boom I’ll be 23 in 4 months.I feel so older haha. I miss everything man.I still go to the high school games and as I am leaving I shed a small tear as I am leaving. 😥 life goes by to fast man. I wish I could go back

- FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS - A city, a team, a dream. In Texas, American football is a religion, it is an innate sentiment in men. "The Panthers moved like a swarm, they seemed to be playing to save their lives" And nowhere else has he lived with intensity, with human reason conforming to the sporting nature that reigns in Odessa - "paradoxical essence between the old South and the Wild West" -, where every Friday evening in autumn, illuminated by the spotlights of the stadium, a team of seventeen divine enters the field in front of twenty thousand spectators, twenty thousand revealing a passion that is American football. There are no extraordinary athletes, perhaps no one will play in the pros, but pride has grown over the years around the Panthers' heady wins and unexpected defeats and the worship of an entire community. In 1988 H.G. Bissinger decided to spend a year right there, in Odessa, "the worst city on the face of the Earth", the one with the highest murder rate in the nation, between rows of half-empty motels and disused mining structures, where the inhabitants thought that "the only good government was the absence of government". Curious and relentless observer, H.G. Bissinger spent that year studying and interviewing the players, the coaching staff, the locals, the words of the old sages, the high press, the oath of a sporting faith for put the pieces back together of a congregation haunted by the ghosts of segregation and exhausted by the schizophrenia of the oil market, in which the euphoria of the boom gives way each time to the blackest depression, to the embarrassment of a consecrated poverty. In America this is football, a teacher of life and a veneration of schemes, of science and of that hour cursed by a competent force which is competition. The conclusion is the victory and its sequel ... the hope of touchdown, hymn to the identity of a new and pure man.
