Hey Jeff, I'd really love to see more inking videos of yours especially the anatomical ones. It's so rare to see someone with your skill be able to execute it while talking with the camera on, it's really amazing.

Thank you Mr. Watts. Greetings from Poland :). All of the Friday Night Live's videos are wonderful source of knowledge and inspiration to me. I watch them over and over again, they have become very important in my daily practice. "If in doubt, watch Friday Night Live" is my motto ;). This Sketch Night caused me to grab a ballpen (I almost never used it for drawing) and sketch almost exclusively with it for a couple weeks. I found it to be more effective training for me than say pencil or charcoal. Something like going to the gym and lifting serious weights in a systhematic way compared to couple pushups in the morning ;). Thanks to this type of sketching (ballpen without underdrawing) I rooted out bad habit of excessive erasing which was bugging me. My ability to predict strokes and dexterity in general improved (for every drawing tool not just ballpen). My lines are more elegant and interesting. Most importantly when i have a good day and lots of energy I can actually "draw what I wish I saw" as You say it ;). That is a new skill for me, practically non-existent just a month ago and now it's starting to grow ;). Thank you very much.

You mentioned politics in one or two segments of your classes online I enjoyed. I'm hoping to glean more of that and your approach to local politics as an artist. Rubbing elbows when you need to and maybe enjoy it. I come from the grind of comics, I'm moving to Massachusetts soon. The community is trying to lift itself by promoting arts. Galleries, murals and fairs. I'm used to my four walls and I would like to acclimate (aspire) myself to the community and possible higher budgets than what I deal with in comics. Online classes are good to focus me - welcomed alignment thanks.

I could be wrong, but I think when he mentions politics, he's referring to the difficulty of getting one's work into galleries due to various factors like who you know, where the favors lie, the resume, etc.

Hey Jeff! Will 'Bridgman Unabridged' be a reworking of Bridgman's 'Constructive Anatomy', or a combination of bits from all the books? Also, will it feature some of the Watts-Reilly method injected into it? Loving the online course, regards, Jay Gordon, South Africa

Really interesting line/shading style. Also interesting subject. As someone else already asked, you mentioned there was a reference available but I don't see a link or anything.

How do you guys call this table Jeff is specifically using for drawing? I saw that Erik is using one too, but what's the specific name for it? Thanks in advance a ton!

I think Mary Cassat said that copying the masters was a great education that couldn't be taught in school only by breaking down what they did and doing them gave you insight into their methods. Or something along those lines. I forget the exact quote but why you do it is for your own enrichment as an artist. I've more or less studied Van Gogh and that's really where I realized the dude was out of his tree. He was a genius no doubt but he was bonkers.

I have 5 years of online instruction and freelance illustration work stuck in my room, nothing wrong with them , I just want to be around like minded people and there aren't many where I live. But gonna fix that! moving to Berlin next year, lots of cool studios and got some artists friends living there :)
