You actually know how to use them damn gas cans? I'm halfway through a mechanical engineering degree and in my limited time fiddling with one at a store, I couldn't figure it out. The more "spill-proof" they make those cans the more I spill. Just give me a damn open nozzle and a vent and I won't spill a drop.

@Mercmad6 жыл бұрын
Well actually itis, but no safety goggles, you were squinting to stop saw dust getting in your eyes, when you squint you can't see the saw and what it's doing, a grab and you lose a leg or as one of my mates did,cut your guts open. Drop starting, i see everyone on YT doing it but as any experienced logger will tell you it's a sure fire way to to get cut as the saw comes down you have no control over it. Cutting a butt off a log with another cutting right behind you. If the log behind you bounced as it came apart,bang ,you are either whacked in the head or pushed into your saw bar.Or his saw comes p behind you and chops a hole in your back. Either way you could go home dead. Not Cutting logs into length without a hammer and wedge handy. More than one person has been cut when a saw grabbed when a felled log grabbed the bar. So as i say,I was glad we didn't see a leg minced up or a springy log come up and hit you. Keep safe man,Life is way to short to be wheeling yourself around in a wheel chair and America is too expensive a place to get medical care.
@waynetharp6 жыл бұрын
Mercmad The best part about being an adult in America is making your own decision! 😎🇺🇸
@Mercmad6 жыл бұрын
Not matter. If you can avoid injuring yourself on the job ,that is a more adult decision don't you think? 40 plus years ago while I was working on skidder in a pine plantation a young guy working with us was butting a log and instead of waiting for us to skid the log into a clear area he decided he knew better and made a fateful decision to cut above his shoulder height, the saw jammed, he pulled it back, it came out and took his head off at his shoulder height, his body stood up and spun around as if trying to run from the saw. Some things you can never unsee . As I say, Life is really short so it doesn't make sense to make it even shorter. That's where an adult knows how to make a sensible decision .
