21:37 Roaming Throne doesn't work with Pantlaza because Pantlaza is a once per turn.

Heyo all, first off, good game. I always love to see a fellow Prosper player with a card I haven't really thought about using before. Rose is a baller inclusion. That being said, I do have what I would think would be constructive criticisms. It seems like the table banter for about half of it seemed a little ridged, but that is going to come to be better as you guys are more comfortable with what you guys are doing. I don't think you guys should worry too much about how to talk and act in a certain way. As for reaching a broad audience, I can see it, but I honestly think it would be a non-issue for development. KZbin, I believe, only cares mostly for the first 1-5 minutes of the video. Reguardless, those who like watching you WILL talk about you. You guys have a niche intro that I would consider unique, and your game branding is actually pretty stellar. I have someone in graphic design if you'd have a need for it in the near future, not to insert myself. I did notice iritation at the table because of what I perceived to be a "reading the card explains the card" type of problem. I think the best remedy for that is going to just be refamiliarizing yourselves with the decks and the mechanics there in that you'll each be using for the next upcoming recording. Lastly, something that I find that a lot of people enjoy having in the description is the full deck lists of each person. Which is another thing that can be sent into perhaps a EDH Cult work email before the recording to make it easier to manage. I'm not going to give you guys criticism or advice that would put a bunch more work on you guys because that just wouldn't be fair. I'm not doing the work. So I hope that my limited experience in broadcasted content is helpful at least. I'll be around and rather easy to contact if you want that. I definately enjoyed the first episode, and look forward to seeing what you guys do. I'll be hitting subscribe and waiting for more.

Thanks for taking the time to write such a detailed comment! We were so jazzed up about the prospect of putting this content out that a few of your suggestions came up while editing the footage. The decklist plan you suggest is something better than what we had envisioned and we'll absolutely implement it! We did get a few games in during this session that we will put out to the masses but I like your ideas and will lean that way for future content. Thank you again!

@EDH_Cult Absolutely no problem. I'm looking forward to it. By the way, I don't presume to know how chronically online any of you are, but the growth of your community might benefit from opening a Discord server. KZbin tools are alright for general interactions, but Discord is a large interpersonal online platform that can easily let you guys engage and organize those engagements on a personal level. Access to more server and role options can be laid behind a patreon subscription for possible online play events, exclusive content, and open voice channels. Initially, the server can serve as a place for your smaller community to cohesively communicate and give feedback in a pinnable text chat so that suggestions are not lost. Discord servers are pretty easy to manage. However, if you guys grow enough, you will need a level for elpersonally appointed moderators if the total becomes a less manageable number or if flaggable behaviors become less noticeable. Additionally, those mods will give you the chance to be less bothered by community complaints, suggestions, and feedback if you become too big to take all of the information all the time. It gets either taken care of by the appointed moderators, or if it's another matter of importance, then it gets filtered back to you. Regardless, those individuals would need to be people you know on a little bit of a personal level and/or exhibit reasonable and responsible behavior in closed or open settings. ANYWAY, I will shut up now and leave you guys to live your lives because I've rambled on for long enough. I'm glad I could help out, and I'm looking forward to the games. Peace!

Just so you guys know for next time, Pantlaza specifies once per turn so Roaming throne doesn't trigger it twice. However it does affect Marauding raptor so it would to 4 damage to anything that enters meaning otepec huntmaster would've died even with the riot +1/+1. Also you would've discovered 3 off of the raptor because it's toughness, not power. Great gameplay though, definitely looking forward to more videos!

Awesome set, all the tech seems cool, perhaps a mic on each person could go a long way, I also like when a few key cards are explained with the commander at the beginning to kind of get the game plan that the person took with that card, good luck!

Great feedback. Our future plan is to get everyone mic'd up separately. But we did with what we could on a limited budget. We'll also definitely do better on our explanations on introductions on future record sessions. Thanks for the great comment.

Rich just took bad decisions and hates Nick so much hahahaha xD. First, the Aetherize play is not legal, "An "attacking creature" is one that has been declared as an attacker this combat, or one that was put onto the battlefield attacking this combat. Unless that creature leaves combat, it continues to be an attacking creature through the end of combat step, even if the player it was attacking has left the game, or the planeswalker it was attacking has left combat. There's no such thing as an attacking creature outside of the combat phase." Second, even if he played Cyclonic Rift, he didn't have enough mana, creatures or anything to make the come back, the Pantlaza was already to far ahead with mana and creatures in his hand (in that case) but now, it was not even a Cyclonic, so I'm not trying to be mean, but Rich focused very badly Nick in the sense of destroying, countering and other stuff to a player that was already punished by the other players since he didn't have any blockers because of a very well played first spell that stunned his creatures, but after that, I really think that you made very bad decisions. Finally, you have a better possible chance if you chaos warp your own Talrand, it shuffles in your library, so it goes up to you. By the way, I love the game, and I'm not saying that it was a bad game or anything like that, is just what I take as the wrap up of the game.

Thank you for detailing those alternate lines of play. Truth is, Rich does love Nick as a person. It's also true that Rich hates Nick as a magic player! Hahaha...We do play using our emotions at times and I think that is endearing gameplay to watch. Once the nerves of being on set and in front of the camera die down, I think the 'average guys' approach we run our group with will shine through more clearly. Our hope was that we have a nice cast of characters for people to relate to at least one of us. Don't we all have a friend as volatile and exciting as Rich?

Why were some of you getting so stressed out? Nick looked like he was about to have a mental breakdown when trying to resolve "effects before damage"...why haha? Isnt commander all about casual fun? Weird energy around the table at times...magic is always a process and there can often be new things to tackle in games I dont think it should be met with temple rubbing haha.
@EDH_Cult
@EDH_Cult 19 күн бұрын
There was a lot of nervousness going around about being on camera and the stress of having other people watch your game. We do strive to win each game and trying our best, despite the potential for a mental breakdown, is a huge reward. The hope is that energy calms down when the newness of the camera dulls. Thank you for the well-thought out feedback! This comment is great!
