Honestly i feel like at the very least it's removal, very situational. Though i think this card really shines when you use it on yourself to set up bigger plays. Imagine a good ole nox rebirth to send phlage, uro, kroxa to the top of your deck and unwanted remake a chump of yours.
@EDH_Cult

3, 4 and 5 card combos are at the heart of commander. If that is the lens you look through to see Unwanted Remake's worth, that's great! I'm glad people get to see your perspective paired against my take. Thank you for bringing these two opinions so close together for people!
@Jundsac

I think it's slightly worse than Pongify and actually makes the cut in EDH and cEDH decks that are white and want a "3rd Swords to Plowshares" after they already have the first two. With that being said, I will rarely play Pongify in cEDH and again, I think that Unwanted Remake is worse than Pongify. Overall, a welcome addition to the card pool, but honestly, kind of an unwanted remake of STP

This is a great point that I ran out of time in a short to make. I would not seek out this card from a financial perspective expecting it to hold onto a price higher than StP/PtE for the reasons you mentioned. As the 3rd option, or another part of the removal suite when considering all the colors available to a commander, this does not replace the staples and will get chopped often. Thanks for the comment!

I disagree with the power level rating especially with the support from mh3 and bloomburrow. You have to lean into the ramp more with her. My build has like 18 accelerants to get her out on turn 3 consistently. And that’s without jeweled lotus mana vault and mana crypt in the deck.
@EDH_Cult
@EDH_Cult Ай бұрын
I get the feeling you think she should be rated higher than 7, is that right? After playing many more games with her and having a better understanding of what can happen, I do think she can go higher than that. Without breaking into cedh, she is at the upper end of our playgroup as far as power goes and she opens up quite a bit of infinite loops to explore. Thank you for the comment!

Heyo fellow members. I'm glad to have dived into another installment, and especially given EVERYBODY DEFINATELY PLAYED A GOOD BOY. 😂 I was just shy of halfway through and thought, "You know there is just no way they beat Nick." I was very wrong, and even surprised to see the game change hands as mich as it did. As a Mothman fan, I am more than happy to see a win for it anytime. I also don't think that there is a person around that Howard would not thank, for handing him that game. Lol The decks were pretty great, though begining I thought Tony was stiffed a bit but not as bad as Matt. It was just not happening for him this time around. As far as advice, critique, or suggestions, I had a couple of things as I do try to help out the best I can. Firstly, the on-screen cliffnotes are a great thing that you guys have going. I'd likely have it accompanied by some sort of sound que. I know that sometimes people might leave this sort of thing on in the background as they build a deck, so the sound que for it might help some of those people not be lost when we run back a few sequences to fix something. Otherwise, perfect. Additionally, I had the idea that you or some community figure could take select stats from your episodes for every 25 episodes and tally things up. Then you have some special decks set aside for a bonus game, and whomever had the most points at the end of the 25 episodes not only chooses their deck first but chooses a game twist. For instance, they could pick for the episode to be archenemy edh, planeschase edh, two headed giant. Variable games like that. The idea is an expansion on the idea I expressed last week, but I think it definitely puts more pressure on the games even as tense as ones like this one was. Just some higher stakes. I would think then, the monday after each episode release, whoever you put in charge of those stats updates those in a post on the Discord when you guys have that set up. Anyways, as always, I enjoyed the installment and the killer thumbnail you guys unwittingly posed for. 😂 Can't wait for your feedback on the feedback. Love chatting and bouncing the ideas off for you guys. I also can't wait for the next episode. See ya, and Hail Mothman!

Thank you for the reply. There are a few implied stipulations to these videos: 1. We make this content before the value of new cards is realized. I don't want to give a perception of value to new cards only for those cards to significantly change in value a few weeks after release. The focus is value of reprints and only those above $2. 2. My value source is TCGPlayer. I did get similar results as you, $145 if using Card Kingdom as the pricing source. I feel that TCG as an open market better reflects the wider population's value of cards rather than the fixed market of Card Kingdom. 3. This short was published on 7/18 and a lot has happened over the past 2 weeks. We tried to process data and turn that around for the viewer as quickly as possible because we believe that is the most mutually beneficial despite the ever present fluctuations of price. I have bought precons in the past and will buy them in the future regardless of perceived financial value. Using the criteria to get the evaluations present in the short is an accurate representation of the value I believe a person can get by buying a precon with the added bonus of new cards adding to the value in the long term. We can always hope that a precon will contain a Dockside Extortionist and we can buy it for $50 but that is an exception, unfortunately. The financial value should only be one factor in your purchase and the biggest should always be the enjoyment you get from playing the game. Thanks again!

Hello everyone. Not much to say from me this time. I think this might have been the single most balanced game yet. Whether that's because some people didn't know the deck, it wasn't their play style, or just can't read, I couldn't tell you. Lol The idea of playing a roulette of decks is pretty neat as it gives you the chance to play something new or that you'd normally ignore and all have to adapt to. I have to say that I usually never keep a group hug deck together, but looking at Gluntch's dumb little face has made me want to build him.. winning would likely be an occasionalhappenstance, but more just to soe discourse. As a suggestion, at some point you guys should play planeschase commander. It's definitely a very good variant, though I don't know what people's access to that sort of thing is like. Another couple ideas could be theme decks; things like hat tribal, chair tribal, or (my friend's personal favorite) hands up tribal, were the only restrictions are cards having those things in their art. Basic lands excluded of course. As always I cannot wait for another installment, and I eagerly await the launch of the discord. Tell Tony that I'm sorry for his loss. Then when the dementia kicks in, tell him again... oh, and tell Tony that I'm sorry for his loss. Then when the dementia kicks in, tell him again. Until next time, hail Bolas!

I think this kind of game is good to know about your deck more...this reminded me a game I played a while ago. I used someone's deck and we thought I lost and cleaned out all the cards. But then I read a card that was in play, and told him I could do this and that to survive...And then he realized that card had another stuff it can do. It is also good to see how others play your deck so you can use that strategy in the future.
