Thanks for sharing your tip on the Gilbert shirt facing. I have made it once and had thought about doing a facing as my fabric was also one sided but wasn’t sure how to do it. It would also make hemming that tie easier too as that was more than tricky! Great video, love your chatty style 💕

Lovely job of your video, so glad to see you have so many likes. I have recently re-visited sewing and I wonder if you could do a demo of attaching a sleeve please? I tried making a jacket and somehow I put the sleeve in the wrong way and although my mother fixed it, she didn’t show me how to do it correctly lol. Cheers from Australia.

I make per week is already great. Better make a few things that you love and seriously how many clothes does one need. Some sewers produce so much it resembles fast fashion.

I agree, you don't have to sew several things every week. You can give tips on sewing tools that help you succeed in your sewing. Show fashions you may want to sew and even judge fits on some patterns, whether sizes are the same compared to fast fashion. You may find some charities that appreciate donations of home sewn clothes that you or your viewers may want to donate to. There is so many directions to go when your closet gets too full or you get sewer burnout. As you say you are experienced in crafting you may drift off into that area on occasion as well. Good luck on your channel. Most of all have fun with it.

@@Thedalythread The only difficulty I have is fitting the collar to the neckline, even with trying to baste it first. Finally made the collar a little longer with the size 10’s. It was that way for the size 8, too. It may not be that way on all the sizes but you may want to measure the pattern pieces to find out. I’ve never made the smaller sizes. I used the Children’s Corner “Robert” shirt until my grandson sized out of it. It was a dream to sew up. Good luck!
