If only they had listened.
But if they had we wouldn't have gotten the starter film for the never-ending Friday the 13th franchise, so let's look back at the film that preluded the epic rampage of Jason Voorhees.

Although I already watch a lot of movie content creators I love how friendly your presentations are. It's only recently that I have got into what I would term pure horror. I've always loved movies Like Alien and The Thing but always saw them through the lens of Sci-fi. I'm slowly building a collection from new purchases and Charity Shop finds. I haven't seen this one yet but it is on my list.

Thanks, Anton! 🩸 I am rather fond of the first four movies in this franchise... the first one, I love most of all, perhaps, because of Betsy Palmer's performance. I was also highly tickled to see a bit more of her in PART II (1981).

Best way to watch FT13 is with someone whos never seen it & knows nothing about it. My kid wanted to watch a “scary movie” so i put this on & she was so freaked out that by the time Mrs V shows up she could barely keep her hands from covering her eyes

I'll actually tell this story in an upcoming video, however, I saw the original F13 expecting Jason and had no idea it was actually Mrs. Voorhees. I also had no idea about Jason popping up at the end! Imagine my surprise ;-) Thanks so much for watching and commenting.

The tv series is way better snd more creative than the movie series.

The so-called "rules" about sex and drugs don't hold up for Halloween or F13th - Laurie in Halloween and Alice from F13 both smoke pot, and the latter seems to have a relationship with Steve (she also plays strip poker). Annie from F13th actually seems more like the stereotypical final girl (sorry Randy [Scream]). Aaanyway, Mrs. Voorhees is one of my favourite villians - Palmer tears it up! My favourite in the franchise is IV, followed by II, V, and VII.
