My favorite are 6, X, the remake from 2009, and Freddy vs. Jason. The worst hands down is Jason Takes Manhattan, I saw that in theaters and was incredibly disappointed. It really hurt the franchise until Jason X came out and brought new life into it.

Being a big Jason Goes to Hell fan-the one thing I’ll vehemently disagree with is your word choice when knocking it. It’s creative as hell. Very original and fun. I have zero beef as to your choice of ranking it last. But not creative?!! It’s the most creative and original entry. Just because you don’t like it doesn’t change that.

Agree. The problem is that they removed some backstory and didn't explain some things (like what the Necronomicon and Dagger have to do with Jason), whose importance are explained in the FvJvA comic books, but sadly most movie watchers haven't seen them (even though they are here on KZbin). I personally like Jason being a deadite and then showing us his deadite powers in that movie. It's just sad that the actors of the possessed people didn't even try to act like Jason (them literally saying they know better how to play that part of their role than Kane Hodder, the guy who has portraied Jason for years).

I think Part 5 is drastically underrated, good to see you have it higher than most. If you ignore the “Roy” angle and treat the whole film like a Tommy Jarvis paranoid delusion, it’s a lot of fun.

hi sue: my rank for this franchise is as follows 1, 4, 9, 2, 7, X, 6, 3, freddy vs jason, 5, 8. reboot 2009 the 1980s was the decade for slow burn horror if you wanted something more fast it had to be terminator or rambo the first movie really shows the sign of the times.

My problem with The Friday the 13th remake is for me it went too far trying to explain things. Jason had tunnels? Jason was some kind of archery champion as a kid? It really made it cheap to me. Plus the kids at least you like to see someone survive. But I wanted them all dead. Believe it or not the 3 one is my favorite. Shelley didn't bother me so much. And the nostalgia of being the first I ever saw and I did like all the characters. The second and 4th are tied for my second favorites. And I do like X. I use to hate it, but I ended up enjoying it. But we all have tastes. That is what makes it great hearing other perspectives. But I will 100% agree with you on the worst. Because Jason goes to hell definitely is. And I don’t even care to watch it unless I am watching the series on tv. But I don't need to. I have them in physical copies and on digital. So I am covered there. Great video!!!
