the game is based on the original movies that came out in the 80's and very early 90's there were only very very archaic cellular phones at the time that would never work out in the middle of the woods. even in the 2009 remake it shows they don't get signal out at crystal lake, but yea if they make a new movie then the cell phone technology is gonna really change how a slasher flick like jason plays out :)
