Random fact: this was originally intended to be a Freddy Vs Jason crossover however Paramount and New Line both got cold feet so the creative behind this film asked themselves what would be the next best option and came to the conclusion of what would happen if Carrie met Jason, hence the Tina character.

This was the 1st Ft13 film I watched as a kid so this film will always hold that nostalgia despite its flaws. Such a badass looking Jason!

Jason was still alive at the end of Part 6. You could hear him breathing and the close up shot of his eyes showed them moving. The reason he started freaking out under the water was because her powers started messing with the chain, tensing it and moving it, before it broke. That being said, this one is one of my favorites because it was so different.

Personally, Part 6 and 7 have always been my favorites in the franchise. Also, this is my favorite horror film series. One little tidbit: There was an alternate design for her father, but they didn't go with it. I prefer the other look rather than the one we're given. Anyway, great review as always, dudes! This is actually my favorite Friday the 13th movie, lol. I think as a little girl, seeing a female be somewhat equal opponent to Jason was awesome for me. Also telekinesis is my favorite super human power so it will always be enjoyed by me. 8.0 for me fellas! You guys are killing it so far, I'm really looking forward to the rest of this month!! 😊 ❤

They had talks with new line but couldnt settle so they went with this one. Then part 8 it was brought up again but couldnt be worked out. Once new line got the rights they made jason goes to hell to set it up but still waited over a decade to finally give it to us. So for this one they settled for a b rated Carrie. This was the 1st time it was brought up though even if it took 15 years for us to get it

Part 7 was always my favorite one. Jason is at his coolest, and I like that for once he had an adversary who could fight back in a significant way. I actually got to see the uncut version on cable once in the late 80s/early 90s, and with the uncensored kills it truly was the ultimate F13 movie.

As far as the ending goes I think of it as the final girl sees what she wants when her dad drags Jason under. That was her way of making peace with her issues, but in reality it was all her just wrapping chains around Jason and dragging him down while the dock collapses on him.

I agree with you guys that the ending sucked when the dad comes out of the water looking clean. This was because the associate producer did not agree with anything the director did to the film. For some reason she didn’t see eye to eye with him all. This is unfortunate because he did a great job. Also a directors cut or uncut version of this film would be awesome! I heard that all of the old footage was destroyed or something at paramount. Great review guys keep it up lol

Actually, guys, there is a story behind why the dad wasn't all emaciated at the end. Basically, one of the producers came in at the last minute and shit all over the prosthetics, "Looks like a frog." So, since they had no time to come up with anything else, they were forced to go with that lame-ass grease paint. P.S. - The makeup actually looked cool. Similar to the dad from Creepshow, "I want my cake Bedelia!"

I do like this ine but three things that always bothered me about this movie is 1. It fucks up the timeline What fucking year is this movie meant to be? She was a kid when she awakened Jason then like 15 years pass by or something? Its dumb. 2. Jason literally just standing there watching her while she used her powers. It takes her a minute or two to use her powers Jason could have easily killed her if he didn't literally just watch her use her powers its like WTF!? 3. The whole thing with her dad coming back was one of the dumbest things ways to end the movie. Is he alive? Dead? Did ge literally just chill down there all this time just to pop up and somehow drag Jason back into the water at the most convinent time? Dumb af.
