Hi again Vickie, lovely to see you again. Yes I'd really like to see the tools that make your life easier. I do have awful arthritis I've had numerous treatments and replacement surgeries. My hands are badly effected, I went to see a hand surgeon on Monday (15th) and he said my fingers are too fused to have either injections or joint replacements 😢 I don't want my sewing days to be numbered I honestly don't know what I'd do if I couldn't sew, I sew every day even if it's only 10mins while the potatoes are boiling 😂. So yes to have some ideas...I may already have them ...but maybe not 😅 I didn't know for example about the lovely little scissors, I shall be ordering those. As you know my daughter has fibro she had a telephone consultation with a gastrointestinal consultant last week and he was telling her about how fibro effects the gut and is sending her for various tests that she should have had. Have you heard of this? Happy Sewing Vickie your time is very much appreciated ❤

Hi Susan , I’m with you on the hand arthritis , I was booked in for surgery 4 years ago , one one hand and then the other . I cancelled on them because of my concerns post op , I also had come to the end of any steroid injections as there was no cartridge left . What I will say were there is a Will there is a way !!. I know with myself fibromyalgia is a multi faceted condition , but your daughter is right in getting the gastro issue checked out . I’m gathering all my bits to get a Vlog put together . AsI’m sure you know it can be unpredictable with these conditions ,so I will get it out as soon as I can . You both take care x

The top is lovely and I agree that the points on the sleeves need to go. Thanks so much for showing us the magic pins. I went right over to Amazon and ordered me a set of the flathead style magic pins in the size 0.6mm. I have arthritis and carpal tunnel and handling pins and clips is difficult and painful, so again, thanks. Yes, they are pricey but I am worth the price which is what I say to myself whenever I buy a piece of lovely pricey fabric! And, yes I would enjoy seeing any adaptable gadgets you have found helpful. I did buy a set of the rechargeable scissors and what a Godsend they have been. When my new pins arrive I will go to town cutting out all of the patterns in my queue.

Spring action scissors make cutting easier for me. The ones I have have a loop on the lower blade and just a lever for the upper one

It’s amazing how resilient we can all be , never be beat I say . They sound really interesting though as I do miss a good pair of dressmaking scissors !!, love my dinky ones though 🤗

Hi. I’d love you to do a round up of the sewing tools you’ve found useful. I have psoriatic arthritis and it affects my hands, wrists and shoulders- sewing can be very painful and I’ve spent a lot on my sewing set up to enable me to continue.

Hi there , thank you for sharing that with me . It can be so difficult at times but if we can find away around things , sadly there are so many crafters that have debilitating conditions . I’d be more than happy to share what I find helps me !!. Take care x

Good morning from Canada. Lovely vlog today. As someone who was diagnosed 6 months ago with arthritis in both my shoulder and both hips I would love to hear about your suggestions for sewing supplies that make it easier for you to keep sewing. I am also really looking forward to seeing the laptop bag you finish for your daughter Emily (I also have a daughter Emily that likes me to sew things for her on short notice 😂). Take care ❤

So sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I’ve always found as long as I don’t over do it ,being creative has saved my sanity !!. I knew I’d always be determined to find away around things , key is not to over do things on your good days . I decided on Emily as it’s an old traditional name , so we have good taste in names !!. Thank you for taking the time to comment and take care ❤️
