Respected madam kindly read explanation no 2 of 498 A, which clearly states that cruelty subject to unlawful demands attracts the nature of offense under section 498 A. Otherwise there is a judgment of Hon'ble Supreme Cour that the cruelty which does not attracts unlawful demand that is simple cruelty not maintainable under 498 A
